No it's not. Hating is like 'I don't care if this person dies because I won't feel bad and I actually want it to happen'. Strongly disliking someone is 'Just stay away from me because you're unbearable, but I also wouldn't wish death upon you because that's mean'.

there's a difference between hating some with your whole being, and wanting that person dead. Like there's a difference between wanting someone dead, and killing that person.
