What about a rainbow theme, it would mean reading 7 books, one for each colour of the rainbow (cover colour) maybe you could do it over 2 or 3 months
Read one very depressing book (like Sylvia Plath "The Bell Jar") then read one inspiring book about life (Hesse, Siddhartha)Of course you will select which one is the depressing one and which one is the happy one.
What about reading books with titles starting with a certain letter? Say J for June, or F for Father's Day.
how about a scavenger hunt looking for words that are popular in june (i.e. graduate, bride, father, etc.) or books released in june to spell june using the authors initials, series name or character name.
What about challenging yourself to reading a genre that you've never tried or always thought wasn't for you? I did it this month, but it was because of review requests. So I read a horror book and I'm finishing a memoir, but those are both things I've never tried and the horror book has me looking at others in the genre.

I think maria has a great idea. I know I personally do not like going out of my comfort zone when it comes to books, but I think trying other genres introduces you to all sorts or things you didn't know you would like.
