Has anyone else read The Ruins and not been scared in the least? Which books have you read that were suggested to you and didn't scare you at all?

Anymore it's very difficult to find something truly, dreadfully scary. I mean that on the edge of your seat, afraid to turn out the lights or look out the window kind of scary is so hard to find. :-( I normally get all of the books everyone mentions, but only a few have been scary. I am going to have to go back through this list to check out the ones I do not have.

this did not scare me in the least. in fact, it was kind of lame. how many times do you get warned to NOT do something, then do it anyway??? really?? as i read, all i did was post the obvious during my review.
local natives say this place will kill you, stay away. the dumb-ass, pompous americans continue on thinking said locals are just superstitious. all die or leave one remaining alive.... mmmm....

For me, it's not what I read but when I read. Two o'clock in the morning, can't sleep, creaking hundred year-old house. Pretty good chance whatever book I'm reading is going to be scary!
