Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments Wow they're just now getting out? My kids want me to take them to see Jerassic World. I'm going to take them next Saturday if the weather is good. I'm hoping they'll tag that up with inside out at the drive in. Kenny turns 16 next Friday.

Please, Hannah only got out now because she's in private school. Our town's school doesn't get out until next Thursday. My mother in law is a teacher in the Burlington school district; her kids' last day is Wednesday. As far as everyone is concerned, Hannah got out early. Of course, she went back to school the week before Labor Day when all the other schools didn't start until the Tuesday or Wednesday after.

I wish my kids wanted to see JW, but no way Jose! LOL I took them to see INSIDE OUT today. It was awesome! The best kid movie I've seen in a long time. I loved it! We went directly after Lucian's swimming lesson, then we had a few errands to run in the mall. Didn't get back until after 3. I'm exhausted! :-)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments Our kids go back the week before Labor Day too. They don't take spring break so I think that's why they've been out for two weeks now. I really want to see JW iMax 3D would be awesome but the bargain shopper in me is going to the drive in

I agree...the cost of 3D tickets is insane. They cost extra here AND THEN they charge a $3 service fee for each ticket!!! Really?! For WHAT, the super cheap 3D glasses that we have to return?! Ugh! Besides, 3D gives me headaches! LOL

message 3405: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments Yeah I took the boys to one when the hobbit came out and those spiders were so wicked. My boys teased me the whole time cause I don't do spiders. They freak me out. But JW will be just as good at the drive in. I started grey and it appears as though this book only covers the first book so there are going to be more to follow I'm sure. This book is close to 600 pages so I'm surprised. It ends with him hoping the mixed tape will bring her back.

message 3406: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 443 comments OMG I have so much to catch up on on here! LOL!!! I've been so crazy busy.

I really want to see JW as well so hopefully I will catch a matinee next week ;) I don't know if I'll do 3D or not. Did you finish Grey??? I know it only covers the first book, so I am assuming we will get more where that came from. I don't remember a mixed tape LOL!

message 3407: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments Remember after they make up at the start of FSD he gives her the iPod or whatever it's called he had songs like every breath you take on it. He is making it for her and thinking about when he takes her to Jose's art show. I hVent finished it I just flipped to the end. You know how I roll. Lol. It's been a long time since I've talked to you. You working crazy hours? I have two twelve hour shifts coming up Sat and Sun. Are you going to read Grey? Amazon had some reviews and they are slamming her book. The people say he sounds retarded and it's just a repeat of the original. Well duh! His inner thoughts do make him sound like he doubts himself but in the original he did say it was all new to him so it makes sense to me. The ones bitchin need to seriously think what they want bc this is what everybody has went on about since the end of the originals so I'm not sure what it is they want. I know they're entitled to their opinion so I respect that but it kind of left me scratching my head. Did they want to see him with other subs? Eeww no!! Lol

OMG NO! That would ruin the trilogy forever if the author did that - because and honestly, it would be a lie because we know that he was never with others after meeting Ana. That's the bottom line. I am definitely going to read it. It's been so long since i read the original trilogy that I think I would be fine with reading his version of the events. Plus I liked his voice at the end of the original trilogy a lot. I haven't even seen the movie yet, but I will. I am trying to decide if I should read Grey or wait until the rest come out, if there are more? I'm not sure.

OMG two 12s on a weekend?!? Your kids and husband can't be pleased about that lol. I have been working a lot and I'm always tired. I didn't work out once this week, but I started my period again on top of everything else, so I am flat out depressed and I feel like I am gaining weight so that's not making me happy either ;(

message 3409: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments Aww I'm sorry Rachel it's rough what your struggling with. You need to pamper yourself like a girls night or take your sweetie out and just forget about everything. Get drunk and have some laughs. I haven't bought the movie yet but I did see it. I liked it and JD was so hot at the part when he says I don't make love I fuck was so hot. I heard a girl from a blog page who is reading it at 20% said you learn some new things about Christian that you didn't before.

message 3410: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 443 comments You are so right Elizabeth. We need a day/night with just us. He is working a lot too so it's hard to get there lol! But I will plan something soon.

I wonder what that means that we learn things about Christian we didn't know before ... good or bad?

message 3411: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments She didn't sound like it was a bad thing I'm only at 6%. I will let you know though. They are having the coffee and tea after the photo shoot. Do you guys work different shifts or just longer hours?

message 3412: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 443 comments Well lol not different shifts ... My husband always goes in for 6:30 am and he gets off when he gets off. Sometimes 3, but mostly 5pm or later even. Sometimes like 9pm. And me, I go in usually for 9 (or 6:30) until 5:30 or later. We both don't have set schedules, which is why I could never go full-time doing what I do (even though I work full time hours lol) I worked 39-40 hours these last 4 days.

The problem is when we have kids (hopefully I'll get pregnant soon, this month will make 6 months of trying) we can't both have such unpredictable schedules with a baby. We have no support but each other. My mom is always sick and his mom lives about an hour and a half away and she works Monday-Friday as well. So I have to stay the way I am so that I can maintain flexibility. Right now I work every Tuesday-Friday and I'm off Saturday-Monday every week. It does fluctuate a little.

So like today - I got off at 5:30 and my husband didn't get off until 7:30. It's not really bad, but sometimes it gets annoying not being able to plan anything. His only real day off is Sundays. He usually works Saturdays too (all overtime) but his out time on Saturdays fluctuates from 12pm till 7pm or later.

message 3413: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 443 comments And I totally want to hear what you think about Grey! I want you to tell me it's amazing like i know it will be ;)

message 3414: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments I hope I can too. Some people were annoyed by Ana but I liked her character if that helps. Bc I can tell you how I feel but you may not agree. His inner dialogue is kind of like Ana's where she questioned if he liked her or not. So his thoughts mimic that and you see things like the books he got her at auction all first additions. It's good but I'm looking for a new element I haven't seen so I will get back with you on that. As for the work schedules girl those are crazy hours. I take the longer shifts too bc it's less days to work and good pay checks. My kids are out of school and my husband is retired so it doesn't really matter if I work week days or weekends. It'll all work out is what I try to keep in mind. Look at the good things into life and forget about the bumps in the road. It's not easy but we all go through things and I thank god for the little things.

message 3415: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 443 comments That's what I think too girl. I just know everything will work out. I had a patient pray with me (a pastor) last week for me to get pregnant so we will see what happens. I am thinking positive because I know God will let it happen when he is ready for me to take on that next challenge in my life. Right now, I am working a lot and paying bills. Also saving towards my maternity leave. I am almost at my goal amount, but now I know I want more for extra compensation.

Also - in 50 shades, Ana did bug me a little because she was SO self conscious, but I understood because someone like him liking her was so out of this world for her to believe. But at the same time, I liked it because that made Christian have to do something else to prove his love for her (even though he didn't say it right away). So I enjoyed reading those parts. I am glad to know that he is picking up on her insecurities already.

message 3416: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments The beginning part he's dreaming of when he was a boy and it was so sad bc he's got three toy cars and he races them trying to get his mothers attention and she just stares at this wall. He then has one go under the couch and tries to get it but can't when he tells his mom she blows him off and calls him maggot. He then keeps looking at it everyday collecting dust and such. It was so heart breaking to me. When the Grey's take him in he stashes food all over in different places and surprised when his new mom doesn't get upset. :(

That's the best way is make your plans and save your money bc once the babies here you may want to take more time off. I know I hated when I had to go back to work after my kids were born. You just want to cuddle with them and not miss a thing even if they're just sleeping. Lol

message 3417: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments I got to get up at 6 so I'm going to head for bed. Goodnight. I'm glad we got some time to talk I miss you guys. I can catch RF in the morning most days but we all get busy.

message 3418: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 443 comments Me too! :) I'm so glad I caught you and honestly I am about to turn in myself. I am enjoying my current read but honestly, I can barely keep my eyes open lol!!! Good night honey!

message 3419: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments Good morning all. God the coffee better work its magic soon. What is it your reading Rachel? I'm up so early all that's really on is infomercials. Lol. Boy, have they changed. This one is called make her have a better climax. Lol. Are you serious? Wtf? Too early for that shit. Lol. Okay well I'm sure I'll check in with you later on to see what's up and let you know what I find out about Mr. grey. I won't say too much Rachel I'll just let you know if anything major happens. Btw I don't want to read about him and other woman either. Only Ana.

message 3420: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 443 comments I'm reading Forbidden by Lisa Clark O'Neill! And yes, thank God for coffee!! I haven't had mine yet lol!! I can't wait for your thoughts on Christian :D

message 3421: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments Yeah they're showing him when he meets up with Elliot. It's before Ana calls him from the bar. Lol. I loved that scene in the movie. The forbidden huh? Sounds juicy. More rain outside. God will it ever stop! They're showing it for all next week too. Blah

message 3422: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 443 comments Boo for rain!! Lol it's a suspense romantic read. I'll let you know hehe

Oh! And let me know if I'm Grey we have to read detailed scenes from his past with past subs or if we have to read about his fondness for past subs. I am hoping that's not included in the story.

message 3423: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments I don't think it does. It starts around the same time as Ana's POV. He refers to Making dinner date with Elaina that's it

message 3424: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 443 comments Making a dinner date to meet with her?

message 3425: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments You know how they casually meet as friends. It will be interesting to see it through his eyes. Ana was always afraid there was more but he couldn't see it. H and Elliot was fun to see. I always wanted to see what he thought of Kate behind the scenes. They're getting ready to go the bar.

Hi guys, just checking in. I did do a search of the freebie section, but found nothing of worth this morning. Sorry I didn't take the time to post a comment. We've had a very busy day today. Hannah's best friend had her birthday party today; it started at noon and we just got home. We're pretty good friends with the parents so we of course hung out with them for hours! LOL It was a really, really good day.

Happy Father's Day to all the father's and future fathers (Rachel's hubby). I hope they all have a wonderful day. If I don't check in tomorrow I'll be back on Monday. And no still NO READING! LOL

I have absolutely nothing to add to the FSOG discussion. LOL

message 3427: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 443 comments Thanks RF! Happy Father's Day to your family as well :)

Sorry about the 50 shades talk! LOL! I am waiting EB to finish so I can dive in. It is getting mixed reviews and people are saying he is remembering his older subs and saying that one was his favorite and stuff, so I am waiting to get that clarified first. I definitely don't want to read about him thinking about his other subs. That will piss me right off.

message 3428: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments The only reference right now at 20% is in regards to a comment Elliots makes. He says that Christain you need laid and C thinks yes I do. This is when he takes Ana to Heathman. He thinks maybe he should have seen or visited Suzanne

message 3429: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 443 comments Okay - keep me posted. I don't want CONSTANT references like that. Has he slept with Ana yet? It's been so long since I read the series that I can't remember that part.

message 3430: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments It's just got to that point so I stopped reading at my clients bc I wanted no chance of distractions.lol. I have FSOG 5 times so the book meets the same timeline. I will be pissed if he compares her to the others so he better watch it. Believe you will know if he does bc I won't finish and will return it

message 3431: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 443 comments Okay so that reference is before he sleeps with Ana. Okay, I'm alright with this one then.

message 3432: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments Yes he's still trying to get a grip on these random thoughts of her that appear in his head. He doesn't understand what's going on with him. I get that bc he's learned to control his emotions and numb them it's Ana that makes him feel and that's why he says what are you doing to me?

message 3433: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 443 comments Yeah that does make sense lol Thanks honey! Have a good night on your night shift!! I hope it goes fast for you babe! ;)

message 3434: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments Oh no I don't work tonight. I got off at 9pm. I work at noon to 11pm tomorrow

message 3435: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 443 comments oh! Well then happy reading when you get in bed LOL!!! I hope your shift goes fast tomorrow then.

message 3436: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments Btw way your guys work schedules could have something to with you not getting pregnant. If your body is over stressed it can effect your hormones production of eggs and stop you from ovulating and your hubbies swimmers are probably dilarious lol with his schedule

message 3437: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments Me too

message 3438: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 443 comments I was thinking about that ... maybe I am just too stressed. I have been trying to back off a little and last month I noticed my ovulation was off a little. I am trying to not stress lol!! Easier said then done.

message 3439: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments I know easier said than done. You can always do what I did my dr told me after sex prop my bottom on a pillow for 20 after to tilt my pelvis. I was getting so tired of that and me and Ken laughed and said I was basting anyhow I leaned over the bed one night and stood on my head. Lmao now granted I had a fertility drug but I was pregnant that month. Josh just happened.

message 3440: by Elizabeth (new)

message 3442: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments Lol. Not to be too personal but you know he needs to conserve his soldiers to the time your most fertile right? Im sure you do I'm just throwing it out there. Get some alcohol a dance club and some oysters and have fun lmbo

message 3443: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 443 comments Hahah I don't like oysters! And yeah, we haven't been having sex as freely as usual. Saving the sperm for when I need it lol!!

message 3444: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments It gets ridiculous after a while I know. I has an aunt that went to the dr and they did implanted there. I'm like thank I didn't have to go there. It was after she said fuck it it's not meant to be that she got pregnant. Ten years of trying. Crazy.

message 3445: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments Rachel I'm getting nervous bc remember the morning after their first time together. Remember when she comes out to him playing the piano. She makes the comment about the music sounding melancholy and sad. Then he replays this memory of the last time someone told him that. It's Leila and this is his memory..." May I speak freely? Sir." Leila is kneeling beside me while I work. "You may." "Sir, you are most melancholy today." "Am I?" " yes, sir. Is there something that you would like me to do...?" Then he snaps himself out of it and comes back to the present. Itales me nervous bc later in the series Ana gets him to admit he did care for her and it's obvious he has struggled with those exact thoughts which got me to thinking since where now seeing his thoughts are there going to be more in depth reflections of these intimate times? When he washes her up for instance. Comforts her after sending Ana away. Is he going to be thinking of their past together he use to talk how she added songs to his iPod and Ana told C she was sending messages. And then there is Mrs. Robinson so far it's only been a reference of how she beat him to stop him from masterbating. Idk if I'll make it to the end something's are better off not knowing. I need to read a bit further just to satisfy my curiosity but if goes any further I shall let you know.

message 3446: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 443 comments Thanks honey. I honestly think the whole bathing thing was because he felt responsible for having it go this far and her almost shootin Ana. He diffused the situation the best he could and he did the rest to calm her because he knows she needs mental help ya know? But he feels like it's because of him.

message 3447: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments Yeah I agree with that but I also think he felt responsible for losing it. I'm nervous thinking that could have him reflecting on their time together and I don't want to go there or especially how Mrs. R. Trained him.

message 3448: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Bennet (janetspringer) | 1740 comments Responsible for Leila losing it
