Rachel I know how stressful and frustrating it can be when you get your hopes up and get shot down when your period comes. I remember crying over it.my aunt struggled for 10 yrs over it and when she gave up with the invetro injections she wound up pregnant. Her daughter is25 now. How long have you been trying? Like I said my obgyn prescribed Clomid and I swear to you I knew the instant I got pregnant. It has no side effects and little chance of multiple births. It's just one pill and worked on the first try for us. You still do the pillow thing but hey it worked
You are really going to laugh, but we have been trying for a little over a month. The thing is that everyone, including my OBGYN said you are so healthy, you will be fine. Even my sister had my precious niece over a mistake ONE time and my husband and I have had sex multiple times this past month without protection and nothing. Sometimes twice in one day!! So that's why I'm a little upset, however, I will pay closer attention to the days now since I know what everyone else said about it being easy and just let it go isn't true. Lol

Rachel you are a mess! I think we need to find you books with heroes who were monks before they meet the h. ROTFL The H in OB is not involved with anyone when before he marries the h; I don't even remember there being any mention of him sleeping with anyone, although I'm sure he had an itch to scratch from tiem to time. LOL His wife tried to kill him and he was heartbroken over it because up until then, he really thought she had loved him. His marriage wasn't perfect as he had come to the realization that his wife had flaws, yet he had loved her, although not to the same depth as he loves the h. FYI love develops between the couple early in the story and then for the rest of the book they have to deal with the difficulties caused by the H's former brother in law. It's definitely a safe book. H devoted to the h, no one else is even a consideration and the H is definitely not a man whore!

OMG Rachel, yes the H in NEVER SEDUCE takes the prize for faithful heroes. I almost swallowed my tongue when I realized that he intended to never have sex with another woman now that he was married to the h, even though he thought he'd never be able to consummate the marriage! Can you believe it?! Under those circumstances I don't think I'd be able to keep those standards. ROTFL
You sure you don't wanna give that book a try, EB? The H is completely devoted to the h. From the very first time they meet she is drawn to him because she can feel the vibration of his voice when he speaks...his voice is really deep. And he's gentle and sweet with her from beginning to end. I know the synopsis says they are forced to marry and their clans are enemies, but this is definitely not one of those where the couples needs time to get to know one another for tender feelings to grow. He is good to her from the getgo and she feels safe with him and is happy to marry him. The stress and negativity comes from others around them and he is super protective of her. He reminds me of Alex in KM's book.

RF! A monk you say??? By George, I think you are right lmao!!! I'm adding this book to my safe list ;) and it's funny you said monk BECAUSE I have a book called Sacred Waters on my list by Lydia Michaels and the hero is a priest!!!!! (Of course he ends up leaving but still!)And I know how it feels to try to save money on books. When I first started I went crazy with buying but since then have tried to be as cheap as possible or use my library app. Thank God they had Annie's Song!

I agree with you 100% EB. It is stressful trying to get pregnant Rachel, at least it can be when you're trying. But you've gotta try to relax. You've only been trying for two months!!!! We got pregnant quickly the first time and I think it still took us like 3 months.

Rachel that was the way I was too. My ONGYN said the same thing to me. Make sure on that ovulating stretch that you have abstained prior bc then he had more soldiers to send in. ROTFL. Hey I'm at my library. Have you read Early Dawn by CA? They got a lot of her books except Annie's Song but I'll ask b4 I leave
Omg that's a good idea girl! I'm gonna make a plan as soon as my period starts as far as abstaining lol!! My hubs might not like it but he'll do it for me :) I actually haven't heard of that one but it sounds amazing!
Ok so my library is awesome. I found 2 books by CA but they're audits called coming up roses and for you Rachel Baby Love. They're getting me them In book form. Annie's Song she is doing an all over check for that one for me. RF my library had never seduce a scot. I snagged that one too. I also got one by CA called My Sunshine. It sounded cute. Kate the h can not speak in this one and she is in love with her boss who is a veterinarian. I love animals too Rachel. Ok I'm going to head home with my gems. Lol

Well, my gosh! What a treasure trove! I hope one of them appeals to you and gets you out of your slump.

I know I hit pay dirt. I know Baby love sounded good. I was tempted to get the audio but my CD player stopped working. It's coming out of greens greenburg wherever that is so I may have to wait but I can start with these ones.
Good morning, ladies. Here are a few freebies for today. This first one is about an English h and her aunt/guardian who are traveling to Australia to live with the h's uncle. En route she meets two young men, both of whom she's drawn to. The aunt disapproves of one, but seems to like the other, until she suddenly turns against him. This man is someone whom the h had previously met in her hometown. He is a soldier. The other man is a journalist. There is something about the aunt having a secret, it's possible that the young man (a soldier) of whom she first approves being tied up in the secret somehow. There are no reviews so I have no further info re the storyline. Obviously one of the two young men will prove to the be H, but I have no idea which.

RETURN OF THE HIGHLAND LAIRD is a novella--about 100 pages long. The h and H meet in some woods. The h is a battered woman and accused murderess; the H is a laird fleeing after blaming himself for his wife's accidental death. The story takes place in England. The h nurses the H back to health when she finds him after he is beaten and left for dead. This is a repeat on our freebie list.
THE SPIRIT PATH is book two in a ongoing series. The first book in the series is a novella, 47 pages in length that is $1.99. In order to fully understand the story I believe you will have to read book one before book 2. In this second book the h has already traveled to the past and returned to the present. She wants to return to the past to the Sioux warrior she fell in love with. She gets the help of a present day Shaman and returns with her best friend. Her mission when she returns to the past is threefold, including finding her soulmate. Why did I include this book on our list? Because I don't know who is reading what, who might be interested in reading what, and who may already have a copy of book 1 and might want a copy of book 2. So, I toss it in the mix and let you all decide. FYI we've never had book 1 on any of our freebie lists. It's weird that a book 2 would be offered as free and not a book 1. Umm
LOVE NEVER LIES is about a H who is wronged by one woman and steals the dowry of another to get his revenge. Sounds crazy, but it's true. The woman who wronged me got him robbed, beaten, and almost castrated. She is the niece of a Lord Agnew. To get revenge the H steals the h's dowry; she is another niece of Lord Agnew. When the h decides to get her dowry back, she ends up the H's prisoner. I think this is a medieval period romance.
THREE COMPLETE ROMANCES...contains three full length novels. Here are the synopsis for each of the three books included;
DRAGON STAR: Princess Starana is preparing herself for the imminent death of her father, the king. Upon his death, the kingdom will fall to the rule of her eight-year-old brother, Drake, but the real burden will be--and has been for some time--on Starana's shoulders. She doesn't mind the pressures of her role in the monarchy, because her family is everything to her. When her carriage is ambushed during an outing with a friend, a simple ride through the countryside turns into a fight for survival. As rumor spreads of a revolt within the palace, Starana--and her rescuer, the dragon slayer, Clarke Duncan--will need to amass an army to save her brother from those who would use him to gain ultimate power in the kingdom. While fighting to win back her family's legacy, however, she might just lose her heart.
DRAGON ROSE: Samuel left his daughter with her grandparents, believing she'd be safe while he went in search of work. After a brutal attack leaves him temporarily blinded, and unable to walk or speak, he finds himself at the complete mercy of a mysterious, flowery-scented woman named Rose. Samuel's attraction to her is undeniable, and he's never even seen her. As soon as he is able, however, he leaves her behind, hurrying home to find his daughter, abandoned by her grandparents, barely clinging to life. With nowhere else to turn, desperate to save his daughter's life, he rushes her back to the woman who'd saved his own life. While Rose tends to young Grace, however, Samuel begins to realize that what he feels is far more than physical attraction. Can he convince Rose, known around town as "The Dragon Lady," to let him, and his daughter, into her heart?
DRAGON ASH: While Tia accompanies her lady, Liesel, to meet Liesel's betrothed--Lord Ashton Gray--the two women find themselves facing an angry bear. Out of nowhere, a man appears, saving their lives and earning life-threatening injuries in the process. Tia and Liesel manage to get the man, Milo, back to his house, but infection quickly sets in, and desperate measures must be taken to save their hero's life. The appearance of Lord Gray--coming to rescue his betrothed--complicates things. Liesel seems more interested in Milo, but that doesn't assuage Tia's guilt as the maid begins to fall in love with the lord. With all four of them snowed in for the winter, far removed from civilization, each must decide what they want from life, and what they are willing to do for love.
That's it for today, ladies. A super short list. TTYL!

hahaha I know the feeling! I did have work today but I can tell you that today I definitely got some reading done! There was a lull in patients/surgeries so thank goodness! I am trying to finish this book so bad so I can move on to the next on my list :) I am off the weekend but it's going to be a busy one unfortunately! I can't wait to have a weekend of NOTHING soon! LOL
Hi girls. I haven't read but very little today. What I have read of my sunshine I love. I stayed up until 3 am finishing early dawn. Thanx for telling me about this author Rachel bc she has so many books thT seem to fit my taste.

I have only read three by her and they have ALL been safe to my standards.
This one I started today has a vet tech who hit on the H but he told her he wasn't interested but she kept persisting so I'm not sure if she will be trouble but the first one early dawn I posted my review and theirs only a dead wife but he moves past beautifully
Elizabeth wrote: "This one I started today has a vet tech who hit on the H but he told her he wasn't interested but she kept persisting so I'm not sure if she will be trouble but the first one early dawn I posted my..."Yay! Okay, I'm adding that one and I'll add the one you are reading now if the hero keeps pushing her away. LOL Early Dawn, was the hero a man ho after his wife died?
And just FYI - I don't mind other women causing drama in a book as long as the hero's feelings are solid for the heroine only - for example, like in your current read how he pushes her away and tells her he isn't interested.
He had trouble forgiving himself. He was beaten and could hear his wife screaming while they raped her and then carved in her skin. He was unable to move. They do flashbacks they don't go anymore in detail then I did
This new book is so good. Kate I thought the h was a mute but she had a swimming accident and has aphasia. She struggles with using big words and fast paced decision making. The H has a sister Bethany who is paralyzed from the waste down so there is another book to read. I tell you they just keep coming. Lol ok I thought I'd just say hi to you all. I hope Lucian is doing better RF. Rachel take it easy.
Elizabeth wrote: "This new book is so good. Kate I thought the h was a mute but she had a swimming accident and has aphasia. She struggles with using big words and fast paced decision making. It is 100% safe, however, I didn't read it yet because I read a review that said that there is WAY too much focus on her disability and her being disabled. I know I'll read it though because her heroes are usually awesome. I am VERY interested in the one you are reading now with the aphasia heroine. Just let me know if it's safe if you don't mind (ie. no other women hehe) Happy Reading honey!!!!
You have a fabulous weekend!
I did a little investigation of her books of you will. I remember the one that stressed the disability. The assistant Belinda that likes him has been nice so far. Oh and Isaiah has a twin that partners at the vet clinic. They have quite a few surgeries going on at the clinic so you may feel at home in this book. The h also does interior design of sorts she just doesn't know her own strength in it yet. She's a woman after my own heart. I feel like I am missing part of my brain at times too. Lmao
Elizabeth wrote: "I did a little investigation of her books of you will. I remember the one that stressed the disability. The assistant Belinda that likes him has been nice so far. Good morning, ladies! Just wanted to stop in for a quick hello. I've been busy with housework today seeing as I couldn't get to do anything during the week. Lucian is doing much better, thanks! His temp never went higher than 100 yesterday, and he hasn't had any medicine since Thursday night. He seems back to normal today, thank God!
Glad to hear you're enjoying the CA books, EB. I'll have to check her out. I can't remember if I've ever read any of her books, although I do recognize her name of course. I'm bordering on a slump myself. I just can't seem to get going on a book.

Okay so I go back to work tomorrow ladies and freak that I am I thought I'll finish my book and then what will I read? So I ran down to the library and turned in the book I just finished and was going to get CA''s Silver Thaw out. I was going to get when I was there the other day. After reading the reviews yesterday I wanted it. Someone else checked it out. It was just there. Instead I got here to stay by her. I think it was the lady who was helping me find the ones the library didn't have. She kept saying how good they looked and how she'd never read anything by her. I had taken the audits up when I asked her to find me those titles and she said she'd put them back bc she wanted to look at them and would put them back. Lol I hope you do look into RF then Kate we could all have an event. BTW did you see how many members show up now but it's only us four that talk.

The library lady stole your book right out from under you! That's kinda funny, EB. Yes I will check out CA. Like I said earlier, although I recognize her name, I really can't remember if I've ever read something by her.
Yes I noticed that we now have twenty members. Weird huh?

It is when no one talks but four of us. Aspoon joined to shut us up. Lmao. She just isn't a talker maybe that's the way of it for the rest too. I know my sneaky library lady but that just proves how good she is. Isn't it weird I've never heard of her before although it's not seated in London or the Highlands. That explains part it's actually in Oregon or Denver. There are Stetsons and horses which I know you tried to get me to read before too. The synopsis just sucked me in. Lol
Hi gals. Can you believe another snow storm? Arizona beckons me.I've had a busy cleaning week also Rf. My grandson and his fiancee and the two kids are moving in next month so I've been trying to jettison junk to make room. At times like this I'm really grateful I won't live forever.
Back to reading. If your in a reading slump EB you might try A Devil Takes A Bride by Julia London. He's a perverted Lord Ian type but still a heck of a nice guy. Sorta. The h sets a trap to get his brother to marry her before it becomes common knowledge that her mother's gone bananas and he walks into it. They should have interesting children
I just read The Maidenhead. It was on the freebie list. I don't usually like colonial type books but this had a different flavor to it. The couple was so hard to get along with you were glad they found each other. Reminded me of a favorite Aunt and uncle of mine that fought like cats and dogs but it worked for them. Of course everyone else ran when they saw them coming. Anyway I really enjoyed it.
The Weaver Takes a Wife was light and fluffy. It a Georgette Heyer type. I don't care for Heyer. But this was a cute read.
Last but not least Christian and Cutter by Tanya Anne Crosby were on sale for $1.99 so I splurged. Not money well spent. They were mediocre I thought. However different strokes. So if anyone wants to borrow it let me know.
By the way RF whatever happened with Captured by the Laird? It's ok if you don't like it. I didn't write it. And we'll always have The Overlord'd Bride.
Well everything else I've read this week is not worth mentioning. At all.
Oh and there is five of us commenting. You forgot Judy.

Damn you, Kate! I'm still up reading CAPTURED now. It's so freaking good!!!!! I've been fending off a slump the last couple of days. Lucian was really sick so my mind wasn't in a really good place for reading. I ended up rereading a couple of books, but after I finished the last I find I was being pulled away from Scotland. Anyhow, I couldn't decide what I was in the mood for, but I knew I had to read CAPTURED...my time is running out. I made myself start it today and I've been unable to put the book down. It's so good! Definite five stars!
BTW I'm so happy. This week I found a TWO books that I've been looking for on and off for years. They are both books that I've read and wanted to re-read. Well I'd posted a request for help in a group, Name That Book, on librarythings.com...if I remember correctly Kate, you were one person who told me about it, but I'd already heard about it before then, although I'd never tried using it before that. In any event, I posted my comment with some details about the book asking if anyone recognized it; this was a few months ago, but I never got a response.
A few days ago, while perusing through the discussion section on Amazon I noticed that people leave posts asking for help finding books so I posted one and within hours I got a response with the title of my book!!! That one was a CR. Of course I had to read it right away. LOL. Yesterday I started another discussion asking for help to find a regency and today someone sent me a link to the book. I was happy to discover that although the paperback version is eight bucks, the kindle version is only .99 cents, so I grabbed me a copy. Yay!
So if you're desperately trying to find a book, ask on Amazon. I'm two for two so far. There are a couple of other ones I've been trying to remember that I plan on asking about in the next few days.

So if you're desperately trying to find a book, ask on Amazon. I'm two for two so far. There are a couple of other ones I've been trying to remember that I plan on asking about in the next few days.

Yes this winter has been a real bitch when it comes to illnesses. My kids are never this sick...a cold here and there and that's it. This year, Lucian has had the flu twice, Hannah once, and they've had a cold several times. Your poor granddaughter. Is she one who will be moving in with get parents soon? Last night you mentioned that your grandson, his fiancee, and his two kids would be moving in with you. Sounds like you're going to have a full house.
Yes librarythings.com, the Name That Book group. But don't forget to try Amazon's discussion section. I'm two for two there, and both times I received an accurate response within twenty-four hours! Just make sure you post the discussion in the correct forum. There's a romance one and then another specifically for historical romance.
The first discussion I posted looking for a CR I mistakenly did it in the HR discussion forum. Someone left a comment suggesting I post it in the romance forum. Within a few hours of doing that someone left a comment with a link to the correct book. It was amazing, especially when I think about how long I've been looking for the book! There's probably a forum for science fiction too...shoot I'm sure there's one for every genre imaginable!
BTW Kate, how have you been feeling lately? Have you completely recovered from the pneumonia?

Anyhow the H was a whoremonger prior to the story of course. So the opening is in a bar and he ends up defending a blind guy and gets arrested. This is two years before he real story begins bc fast forward 2 years the blind guy he defended is the h's brother. So it hardly shows the two even actually meeting and I'm 80 pages in so I looked at the reviews. Here the two meet 20 some pages later so I put it off to the side. The h isn't as strong as her other ones. She has guilt toward her brothers blindness. I guess she was the cause. I don't know how but the book is 527 pages.
I started Never Seduce a Scot and am about half way through. My busy bee client took naps today so I got some serious reading in. It starts out really slow but the H is awesome in his defense to the h against his clan. He finally figured out she's deaf. God, I thought it would never happen. LOL. I was more impatient the story taking it's time I think bc nothing was really happening that wanted to pull me into the story. I think the clan witches dii add to it so it wasn't a total snorefest. I shouldn't be so harsh bc the author needed to establish the foundation I guess I just found it frustrating and uneventful. I hope you ladies are having a wonderful Sunday and I'm sorry Judy your always so quiet. I think I talk to you more on Amazon than here. LOL
Hey RF! Damn that CA book sounds good too!! Lol thanks for the warning about his whoredom haha but as long as he stops as soon as he meets the heroine, I am okay since its CA. There aren't any scenes with other women though right? Also - never seduce a Scot isn't my favorite. I actually liked her other highland series better and it's complete :) I put off reading it because I read never seduce a Scot and the second book prior and they were good but very slow but I'm telling you her second series is better! ;)
Never Love a Highlander was one of the books I read by MB. As for the CA book apparently the woman who hang out in this bar all have boob jobs. LMAO. At one point there is a woman that approaches the H. She was with him the weekend before and she wanted another tumble with him. He isn't interested in her or any of the other woman who are in the bar. I think MB's book will probably get better now that her secret is out. RF recommended it and said it was probably up my alley bc of the h. Hey have you ever read How the Marquess Was Won? The h in hat book was treated like a doormat but there were some really funny parts. Dryden is this popular man of the ton and other men like to imitate his style and everyone tries to mimic his dancing. It's so funny. These accidents happen and others reenact it bc they think it's some new move or style and it's so off the wall.

Umm EB, ya I don't really care for books that take forever before the H and h finally meet, or have a meaningful interaction. Eighty pages and they have yet to meet? That's too long! Of course things could pick up nicely after that, but honestly the risk is too high that you lose interest before you get to that point.
I loved NEVER SEDUCE. I didn't find that story slow at all. I loved it from start to finish! I think it's the way the H is with the h from the very beginning that I liked. He was protective from the start and she was drawn to him in return. I loved the scene where she goes to his room to make him speak to her, the night before their wedding. Funny, Rachel, I liked NEVER SEDUCE better than I did the other series...it started with In Bed with a Highlander right? That book where the h is the bastard daughter of the king and the H forces her to marry him? I really loved that book too, but I liked NEVER even more. Not sure why; I just did.
BTW ladies, most of CA's books sound like they are CR is that right, or does she write a mix? I just finished reading Captured by a Laird by Margaret Mallory. Kate loaned me that book. OMG! It's awesome.
The H captures the h's castle and forces her to marry him. He's awesome with her from the beginning. She has two small daughters; six and nine, and he has two younger brothers; ten and fourteen. Y'all know I'm not overly fond of a bunch of kids in my books, but I have to say I loved these children. The h's daughters serve to show the softer side of the H. He's tends to be a bit hard and gruff, but I loved how utterly loyal to and protective of, he is towards his family and that includes the h and her daughters from the moment he breeches her castle and claim it and them as his own. Truly a sighworthy romance. Thanks a bunch, Kate! I'm going to have to get a copy for myself, because that is one book that I will definitely reread.
I'm in the middle of rereading a book I read many years ago. It's one that I've been wracking my mind trying to remember on and off for years. I finally asked for help on Amazon on Friday and someone posted a comment with the title of the book and a link to it on Amazon! The kindle version was only .99 cents so I quickly grabbed a copy of it and started reading it today. I'm already 70% in. It's so good! FYI the title is A Belated Bride.
The H and h fell in love when he was 20 and she 16. He took her innocence and intended to marry her, but his father died and he had to leave unexpectedly. He then discovers that the family is in ruins and his aunt advises him to marry an heiress--she had one all picked out. He still wanted to marry the h and wrote asking her father for her hand. Unfortunately, the H's aunt had already informed the h's father about the true state of the family's finances and so the father refused the suit. Actually the H says that her father dissuaded him from pursuing the marriage and informed him that he would be bringing the h down with him into abject poverty. The h's family is gentry, not aristocracy.
Anyhow, the h doesn't know about any of this. As far as she is concerned the H claimed to love her, took her innocence, and abandoned her. So when her coachman pretty much runs him over ten years later, she is tempted to leave him lying unconscious on the side of the road. LOL Of course she doesn't. She takes him home. The H has been a widower for three years. His marriage was horrible, of course. His wife had a mental illness and by the time he realized and tried to help her it was too late. She was high strung and loved to party which everyone thought was just her nature. Turns out she was crazy--it sounds like she might've been manic. She ended up dying and he blames himself for her death because he pretty much neglected her--no he wasn't whoring around, but trying to refill the family coffers.
After he married the wife for her money, he then decided that he would not use her money, but instead would try to build up the family finances on his own. The only benefit to marrying the heiress is that it held off his creditors because they knew he was good for the money owed. I think he just couldn't stomach having married Sabrina only for her money. He started selling off stuff and investing the money. That kept him busy and away from home alot.
I'm at the point in the book where he and the h have been discovered naked in a cottage and are being forced to marry. The H set the whole thing up because he wants to marry the h to protect her--long story-- and she of course wants nothing to do with it. So the H and the h's aunt cook up this scheme. BTW the h has two aunts...they are nuts!!! From the very beginning they start playing matchmaker. There is one scene when the H just arrived at the house. The H's clothes have been removed and he is all covered up. He's unconscious. The aunt's decide that before they play matchmaker they have to make sure that the duke isn't "deformed" in any way. That he has all his "parts." So they sneak a peak and according to the book, they observed "a moment of reverent silence" as they both stand their looking at the man's privates! ROTFL
TTYL!

Omg!! RF Captured by a Laird sounds right up my alley!!! So no other women for him in the book right?!? He wants the heroine from the start? I'm getting so excited because I freaking love kids in romance!!! (Squeals) Your current read sounds good too!!! :)

Calm down, crazy woman! ROTFL Yes he wants the h from the beginning. The capturing of the castle is all part of the Hs plan to exact revenge against his enemies and to keep his family and clan safe. EVERYTHING he does is to keep them safe. Central to the plan is to marry the h which bolsters his claim to her late husband's castle. That will give him legal guardianship over the h's daughter's who are the rightful heirs to the property.
All the time he's planning, he never gives any thought to the h. What she'd be like, what he'd say to her, NOTHING. The very first time he lays eyes on her he pretty much goes in a trance, she is that beautiful. From that point on the man is almost stupid around her. He can't think straight. He wants her to marry him; it's a central part of his plan, but she refuses. He knows that if he threatens her daughters she will comply, but he can't bring himself to do that. So, instead he tells her that she will share his bed, married or no, and when she has a babe in her belly then she will have no choice but to marry him. But even has he says this to her, he feels bad about it. He's very honorable. I don't think he would have gone through with his threat either. Once they get married he doesn't even force her to share a bed with him. He tells her he will wait until she is ready. Sigh!
As for OW, there is mention of his having a mistress at his own keep--most of the story they are at the h's keep. However, there is one point when he decides to give the h her freedom; he thinks this is what she wants and he wants to make her happy. So he returns to his own keep, but has nothing to do with the mistress--nothing, nada, nope!!! Didn't even think about touching that ho! LOL
The one I'm reading now, BELATED BRIDE, is awesome! The h's aunts even dose the H with a sheep love potion they make themselves. It helps to make their sheep more randy and produce more lambs. They dose the H with it to keep him in bed for a couple of days; all part of their plan to keep him around to throw him and the h together. Those two have me in stitches with some of their antics. There's emotional points too, because the h was really hurt when the H left. FYI, there's nothing to indicate that he's been a man whore since his wife died, either. Nor does it seem as though he cheated on her while he was married. He's been very busy rebuilding the family empire. A dreamy duke EB, you're favorite!! LOL

Hahahaha I am one crazy lady but woman as soon as I read that synopsis I was like SOLD!! I can't tell you how much I adore a good single parent romance :) and I do like a hero who is rough around the edges as long as he doesn't partake in any mistresses. That is not my thing with historical regardless of what was acceptable back then! Yay!!!!!! There is this CR series I've been waiting to read by Autumn Grey. My friend is just finishing up the last book but she guarantees me it's safe so I'm either going to start the one you gave me or that three book serial. I am too excited!!!!
BTW yes the children in CAPTURED are adorable. The h's daughters love the him; I mean the LOVE him. He wins pretty much wins them over from day one--the day he seizes their castle. When the H left the h because he thought she wanted her freedom, the daughters got mad at the h because, according to them, she was doing nothing to bring him home!!
FYI in my book, BELATED BRIDE, the main reason the H compromises the h into marriage is because he loves her. Time is of the essence because he needs to protect her and doesn't have time to do a gentle wooing, hence the seducing and getting caught scenario. LOL

Damn, both of these books sounds amazing and I like the sound of them for different reasons!!! The book you are reading now, the past portion where they are separated, it's only in the very beginning or mentioned briefly? My only concern is i don't like to wait forever for the hero and heroine to actually get together.

No when the story begins they are reunited..at the very beginning of the book her coachman knocks the H off his horse. You only hear about their past...when they fell in love and were separated. FYI the kindle version is only cents .99cents!! Here's a link to it on Amazon in case it cost more on BN.

I too hate it when it takes too long for the h and H to meet. Ugh!
