Oh my goodness yes. I read the rest of SOTF and I started mist warrior. I painted my nails as well. LOL I got home and LK's book came so I started that too but I am just too tired to read anything since I've been home. I di my review on SOTF and get this. I went on FB on my phone earlier and they wanted to know if Alyson Raines was my employer? LMAO I wanted to say no she would actually have to talk to me for that. ROTFLMBO The warrior Mist started off really good.

kate | 203 comments Are you talking about Mist Warrior by Katherine Locke I read that awhile ago. I gave it three stars. If I remember correctly it started out great and then there was a whole lot of crying. You know how that gets to me.

There was a scene in a movie where a man is explaining he became a chauffeur because he love to read and when he dropped off people he could read for hours while he waited for them to return. I thought damn why didn't I think of that. So you may have my ideal job EB.

There's nothing better than being able to read for pleasure while getting paid, EB! OMG! I'm pea green with envy!!!!

I have MIST WARRIOR. You'll have to tell me how it goes. I now know Kate wasn't too thrilled with it because of the crying. Let me guess Kate, it was the H huh? What the heck was he crying over?

I have to say that I love Locke's medieval books, but the one highland one I read, DEMON LAIRD, or whatever it was called, wasn't too impressive. A three star read for me. Pretty bad when u consider that all her medieval stories were five star reads for me.

Here's the freebie list!! The first book is a follow up to CHEYENNE CHRISTMAS, that ever so awesome Christmas novella! This latest installment is the story of the H's little brother and the h's little sister. I've waited a year for their story!! Yay! You really should read CC before reading CCH. Even though they are stand alone, in CC you get to see how CCH's H and h are together when they first meet as children. So cute!

DELIGHTFUL is book 1 in it's series. DANGEROUS is book 3 in the series. It's been on our list before, but I figured I'd include it on this one, seeing as another in the series is also available. Also, I never know if/when someone may miss out on a freebie. We can't have that, now can we?!!

That's it for today, ladies. It's not much, but getting CHEYENNE CHRISTMAS HOMECOMING is quite a treat for me! If it's half as good as it's predecessor I'll be a happy woman. LOL TTYL!

Kate~ I know isn't it funny. I also like to crochet and so if I don't feel like reading I can always take that along as well. The lady I was just caring for find it relaxing for her caregivers to put their feet up on the couch with shoes off. I'm thinking I wish I would have done this sooner. LOL

I didn't realize any of you had read it. I'll have to check out your review Kate. I sure did like her other books you lent me (RF) and I remember us talking about needing a break from her for a while, but I can't remember what it was that bothered me about her writing. I wanted to say that I was with Kate and found her characters dealing with dramatic crying. I don't think it was to the point I deducted as much as just wanting to read a different writing style. Keira Montclair, as you know, is a dramatic writer and as much as I have loved most of her books I needed a break too. It just makes them more enjoyable. I went to bed last night at 9:30 last night. I woke up early the last couple days and it just caught up with me because I slept 10 hours. LOL

Ya I remember you liking all the Locke novels I sent you. I don't think you read any of there Scottish ones, though. I read DEMON LAIRD which was a big disappointment for me; although it was a 3 star read. I just expected so much more from her. BLIND IMPULSE and her other medieval romances were all five star reads for me. I LOVE her medieval books...crying and all. LOL She does an excellent tormented hero!

Anyhow, I've gotta go get ready to take me little one to school. TTYL

Today's freebies...here they are!

FYI, according to the first review GRANDHALL is an ongoing series. This book is only the first installment. I'm only including it because I don't know if anyone may already have another of the installments and is waiting for this part. Also, there are only two reviews and they are both 2 star. The first one says the story is good, but she gave it 2 stars because she felt tricked into reading an unfinished book. LOL

FYI OCEANSWEPT is the first book in a trilogy. I'm not sure if it ends in a cliffhanger, but the protagonists in book 2 are the same people, so it's definitely a continuing series. Furthermore, there is no book 3 as yet. Oh, it's also a pirate theme. The H helps the h escape her pirate captors, when he decides to leave the piracy life behind.

I read INELIGIBLE a while back. I gave it 3 stars, but it was borderline boring. Not the story, but the way it was written. And it was sooooo formal. The H was referred to as Mr. whatever the heck his name was, during the sex scene; not by the h, but by the narrator! LOL

That's it for today ladies. It's not much, or it might be more accurate to say that there isn't anything too exciting. I grabbed a couple myself, yet still, I didn't get that rush of excitement I usually get when I buy a new book I'm eagerly looking forward to reading. LOL TTYL

Hey everyone I had my Christmas party yesterday so I was totally preoccupied with getting everything ready. I did get my hour walk in so I was happy about that. The only bad thing was there was a slight mist but not bad. I made this recipes off of pintrest called cauliflower bread sticks. Wow. They were really good. You take Cauliflower and grind it up mix it with mozzarella an egg and garlic powder, Italian seasonings and spread it on parchment paper in a 9x13 baking dish. It was really good. I think I said that already. LOL I can't eat flour too well anymore so I try to stay away but I thought this way it would be like having bread. My niece has to eat gluten free so she could have it too.

OMG! Kate, I LOVED Frederick's Queen! But then I'm not surprised. Once you told me you'd given it 4 stars, I knew that I'd give it at least that. I'm actually leaning closer to 5 stars. I loved it that much! I wasn't the least bit bothered by how long it took him to consummate the marriage. I thought it was uber sweet. Didn't you think it ironic though that he and his brother were such big man whores, but once they found their lady loves they had to abstain for so long?! That made me LOL. Haha I wish we'd gotten some conclusion to Ian and Rose's romance. The author certainly left us hanging as far as those two were concerned. A nice family wedding would've been a great way to end the book, especially if Frederick and Aggie had renewed their vows.

EB you've gotta read that book. I think you'll like it. You can borrow my copy whenever you're ready. BTW HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

You're not kidding about Tisdale upping her game. My gosh! I was shocked at how good this book was compared to the first of hers that I read. She needs an editor though. There are a lot of awkward and incomplete sentences. Not to mention two big gaffs. She had that one guy dying with the men who went on that hunting trip. But before that he was one of the men who had been left behind to guard Aggie. I almost fell off my chair when I read that Ian and that other guy found Rognall at the bottom of a pile of men. I had to flip back to see if I'd been mistaken, but no, there he was hanging out with Ian at the castle guarding Aggie and the boy.

Then there's the fact that Frederick is the 7th of 9 sons, then how the heck he has THREE younger brothers, or was it four? Honestly, I think Tisdale had a hard time keeping track of the McKintosh clan. Too many of them, I supposed.

Anyhow, I hope I do see Rose and Ian in a later book. I would've liked to have seen their wedding in this book though. Ugh! Oh well, we can't have it all!

kate | 203 comments Your good RF. I missed the Rognall goof. I did see that she lost track of the family placement. Your right she needs an editor badly this was a 5 star story with a 4 star execution.

Still a great story. She took her time to show that getting over abuse was a process. Not something that happened overnight just because the H was hot. The H for all his good intentions still put his foot in his mouth a couple of times. I liked that too. Perfect people are boring.

I hope Tisdale can keep up the good work. This was a surprise hit for me.

I haven't done my review as yet. I'll try to write it tonight, but probably wont get to it until tomorrow. It's a dream read!

Kate, do you see that FQ is now $4.99?! Thank God I grabbed a copy when it was .99 cents. And yes, Tisdale did an absolutely fantastic job of showing a realistic progression for a victim of abuse. I loved the fact that we get to see Aggie slowly develop into the woman she was always meant to be. I loved the way she took charge when they had to go rescue Frederick. It was totally awesome!

message 1025: by kate (new)

kate | 203 comments Not in a million years would I have paid $4.99 for a Tisdale book in the past. Glad it was a sale it really changed my opinion of her.

Come on RF. Alex was no Frederick. Though he had a much nicer name. When he invited over the dinner party guests and they were all rude to her and then he was angry because she left the table and threatened to throw her out. He went from hero to zero. I was hoping he'd choke on an oyster. To make it worse she still thought he was attractive. What?

EB what are you looking at in Leigh Greenwood. I like a lot of his books. Same with Lynsay Sands.

I grabbed a copy of her ROWAN'S LADY. It's the book that came before FREDERICK'S QUEEN. It's five bucks on it's own, but it's in one of those box sets with two other stories, for .99 cents. Unfortunately, I already own copies of the other two books (one of them is Le Veque's FRAGMENTS OF GRACE) but it was a no brainer at .99 cents to get ROWANS. I'm hoping ROWANS will be as good as FQ, or at least close. Here's the link to that box set, in case you're interested. As a matter of fact, you may already own it, because I remember we were tossing around links to a number of cheap box sets a few weeks ago.

Good morning, ladies. Here's the freebie list. This first one is the second book in the GENTLEMEN NEXT DOOR series. We had two others as freebies in the past weeks. There are four books in all in the series.

http://www.amazon.com/Craving-Rogues-...

http://www.amazon.com/Tame-Wild-Heart...

http://www.amazon.com/Savage-Alpha-Wa...

http://www.amazon.com/COLONIALS-COWBO...

The ETERNAL COLLECTION is a set of four Barbara Cartland books. Anyone read her before? She was one of my favorites back in the day. I even watched a few movies based on her books, although they were never anywhere as good. Anyhow, this e-book is a scanned copy and there are one or two comments in the reviews regarding the scanning quality.

CRAVING is a paranormal romance set in the Highlands. The H is imprisoned in a mirror, of all things, by a gypsy. I'm guessing the h helps to free him.

The SAVAGE title is a trilogy. The entire series is included in the set, which is now available for free. It's a paranormal romance set in other worlds.

COLONIALS AND COWBOYS is a set of 12 short stories. The book also includes 14 excerpts of other books, and 12 "informative articles" whatever that means.

That' it for today. Boy, I really miss Noreen!

Hi ladies, here are some freebies. Not sure how many we'll get today. We'll see. :-) This first one is mythical, with fire breathing dragon and all! LOL

http://www.amazon.com/Bound-Dragon-Ar...

http://www.amazon.com/Lauras-First-Fa...

http://www.amazon.com/Maids-Misfortun...

http://www.amazon.com/Daughters-Storm...

MAID OF MISFORTUNE is a serial novel. The H and h meet when they both get involved in a mystery they have to solve. I think they form some sort of detective team and work cases together as their relationship progresses. It seems in each book they have a new case to tackle. There are a few books in the series.

BTW I quickly flipped through that Barbara Cartland book yesterday and didn't see any problems with the scanning quality. Granted, I didn't go page by page, so I may be missing something, but... Anyhow, the publisher left a comment for the reviewer who complained about the scanning quality. The comment said that they worked very hard to ensure the quality of the scanning was up to par and were concerned about the problems she had mentioned. They asked if she could please tell them what it was that she was seeing so that they could address the problem. The *B* left a reply saying that she didn't have the time, but if they would agree to pay her then she would be happy to review the book and let them know where the problems were! I was like "what!" Really?! How hard would it have been for her to say that she was unable to read it in some places, or whatever problems she saw. If they asked for more detail then I would've told them that I don't have the time to reread the darn book. But man, she was cold! Besides, I'm sure they weren't looking for an in depth analysis.

Wow! That's it for the freebies today, ladies. Not much, huh? TTYL

Good morning, ladies. Here's the freebie list for today. I'm not sure how many we'll get, as I'm writing this list as I go through the freebie section on Amazon. This first book is the second in the Spencers In Love series. We had book one as a freebie a few days ago...SAVED BY A SIREN.

http://www.amazon.com/Wicked-Wild-Spe...

http://www.amazon.com/Duval-Infernal-...

http://www.amazon.com/Wild-Peony-Part...

http://www.amazon.com/High-Stakes-Cha...

http://www.amazon.com/Windmills-War-D...

http://www.amazon.com/Kidnapped-Wrong...

http://www.amazon.com/Emerald-Desire-...

http://www.amazon.com/Heaven-Must-Wad...

http://www.amazon.com/Rose-Provence-S...

According to the first review for DUVAL, this book starts off as a mystery/detective novel, then about 2/3rds in, morphs into a romance. If that's the case, I'm not sure why it popped up in MY search. Sigh

FYI WILD PEONY looks like it's a serial novel. This book is the first installment...at least that what it sounds like based on the blurb. There are no reviews for this book so far.

WINDMILLS is set during the WWII. It sounds like it might be really sweet--599 pages worth of sweet! LOL The H and h are penpals as children. Live live in the US and Holland respectively. In 1945, Holland is in trouble and US soldiers enter on a rescue mission. The H is among the soldiers and is determined to find and rescue the h. I wasn't gonna get it, because I don't really like war-set books, but this one sounds like it might be a really good read...either that, or it will be boring as heck! LOL

FYI, KIDNAPPED is a contemporary romance, which for some unknown reason came up in my HISTORICAL romance search. :-)

EB I know that EMERALD DESIRE is a book you are NOT going to want to read. I'm not sure about you, Kate, but I'm willing to bet you'll pass on it too. Make sure you read the first review by JT. This books sounds totally disgusting, with a H who keeps sleeping with other women, even after the declaration of love to the H and while he's being intimate with the h; and a h who, on at least two occasions, married other men! Ugh!! No thanks!

I read the book blurb for PROVENCE and it confused the heck out of me. I have no idea what this book is about, other than it's set in 1500 Paris at the royal court--at least part of the story is set there. If reading the story is as confusing as reading the blurb, well there's no hope for this book. Sigh

That's it for the freebies for today, ladies. TTYL!

kate | 203 comments Thanks for the list RF I know it must be hard to get to it now it's such a hectic time of year.

EB No I didn't read Someone to Watch. I think it was about a hooker. Not my favorite type of book.

I thought the Barbara Cartland from yesterday might look interesting . I've never read anything by her but she was so prolific I always wanted to. However none of the stories appealed to me. She supposedly wrote over 500 books. Some when she was in her 90's. Yeah right. Anyway I'll keep looking there must be a blind hero with a limping mute heroine in there somewhere.

I'm trying to be good and cut down on my reading until after Christmas. But I started to read To tame a Highland Earl. Not bad so far but a little farfetched. Which is a good thing. I'm able to put it down and get things done.

Have a great day everyone.

Hey Kate, that SOMEONE TO WATCH, is that the LK book? I think I'm the one who asked you if you'd read that book. I just bought it; Someone to Watch Over Me two days ago because it was on sale for $1.99. The h is the twin sister of a courtesan, but has amnesia. The H has a bone to pick with the sister so lies and tells the h that she is his mistress. He doesn't know at the time that the h is the sister, not the prostitute. I was a little concerned about the prostitute angle myself, and didn't by it until I'd combed through the reviews and discovered that it was a case of mistaken identity. LOL

Barbara Cartland was my very first romance author. I haven't read her in years and years, and nowadays I don't know how much I'd enjoy her stories. Yes, the set of four yesterday wasn't very appealing. I downloaded the book because there is one, I think, that I might read. I don't remember ever reading any of them before, but I'd be surprised if I haven't read at least *one* of them.!

I've been mostly reading short stories. Just finished two sets of short Christmas stories. One set in the Regency period, the other the Medieval period. Both were nice, sweet, reads but nothing heavy or earth shattering. I'm about to start A Highlander's Home. It's a time travel romance. I don't know why, but I've been in the mood for a time travel romance for days.

FYI, Forever Mine by Monica Burns looks awesome! I finally broke down and purchased it and of course, I had to read the back. I think it's gonna be even better than JD's KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR, which for me was a phenomenal read! The only thing that gave me pause about that book is the fact that the h returned to the present and I had to read about how lonely the H was after he lost her. However, the author did a good job of showing how positive an effect the h had had on the H's life. Then, of course, the h met a man, whom we are led to believe is the H reincarnated. The big drawback is that we never got to know that man at all, because the book ends right as they meet.

FOREVER MINE fixes that particular problem, and the reader actually gets to the know the present day H throughout the story, so you don't know who the heck to root for, past H or present H. Amazon still has it for the $1.99 sale price. Not sure how long that will last though. The boo is almost all 5 star reviews and my friend, who read it, says it's fantastic! Her and may taste in books usually align, so I'm looking forward to reading it. Here's the link in case you're interested.

Anyhow, I hope your holiday preparations are going well. I have a sick four year old and have been fighting off yet another cold. I still need to clean the house and wrap presents, which will be a big job. Sigh Oh well, such is life. TTYL

BTW EB, don't think I don't notice all the emails being sent from your IPHONE!!! Showoff!! LOL

kate | 203 comments Thanks for telling me about Someone. I'll definitely put it on my TBR. I always feel sorry for women who have to sell their body to survive. It was hard enough selling real estate.

I hope you and your daughter fell better. I was up all Sunday night with my 4 Year old Granddaughter Marissa. She had a stomach flu. Just one of those 24 hour bugs. But I had it Tuesday and my 20 year old grandson got it yesterday. Hopefully that's the end of it.

Forever Mine looks good too. Let me know what you think of it. I don't think I'd like Knight. I like the H and h to stay together even if she needs to give up indoor plumbing

Yes I hear you. That was my problem too. I was happy knowing that the H and h were back together in the present, but the H had no clue as to his past life, just that he'd always been drawn to a picture of a woman from the past who looks exactly like the h (which, of course it was the h). Anyhow, I didn't know him, and I was left crying over the fact that the H...MY H...had been left to live out the rest of his life alone.

From what I read in FM, the present day H learns of his past life and even regains memories of that past life. It was hard to read the journals he wrote from the past after he lost the h, though. I cried tons and I only read the last chapter and half of the blasted book! LOL

FYI SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME is still on that $1.99 sale. Here's the link.

Sorry to hear about the stomach flu. That can be a nasty bug. Thankfully it usually only stays around for a day or two and then it moves on. My son is feeling better today, but then he's usually ok during the day, and feels like crap in the evenings. I kept him home today with the hopes that he will be able to attend my daughter's Christmas play at school this evening. Otherwise one of us will have to stay at home with him.

Why observant? Because I noticed you sporting your Iphone? LOL I wont be home this evening, unfortunately. We'll be leaving to attend my daughter's school Christmas play in a bit. I'll be all by my lonesome because my hubby had to drive up to his hometown to attend the wake of a childhood friend's father. They were all neighbors back in the day. Lucian had a nap so I'm hoping he'll be ok during the performance. He's been fever free all day.

I wanted to read a time travel romance so badly, and I'm sad to say that, with the many options I have in my personal library, I choose the wrong one. I didn't at all care for A Highlander's Home. A total waste of reading time. Ugh! I wrote a review, so you can check it out before you try to read that book. Thank God it was a freebie!

Today's freebies, ladies! This first one sounds like a fun regency! Oh, it's by Loretta Chase. Isn't she one you were just telling me was good, EB? Or was that Lorraine Heath? I can't remember now. I've read LC before though, and liked her.

CRIMSON KNIGHT is by Marcia Lynn McClure. I must say MLM is one of my favorite western authors, but I read one of her regencies and wasn't too impressed. Hopefully, this one will prove better. It's a medieval romance, set in a fantasy land, I believe.

So many people didn't really care for MARRIAGE LIST, but I really liked it. It's a sweet regency about a h who is a little Cinderella-like, although there aren't any step-relations, and a tormented H who returned from battle wounded.

CIRCLE OF NINE is described as a contemporary coming of age boon, which should appeal to teens and adults. I haven't read any of the reviews.

SILVER LOCKET is a WWI romance. Rich h runs off to become a nurse. Meets H, from her past, who is from the wrong side of the track. The two have always been drawn to one another, so they eventually fall in love. However, the H is married. The h and H apparently have an affair which I assume eventually leads to a HEA. Don't like the affair aspect. I'm such a prude at times. LOL

MONTANA SUNRISE is a mail order bride novella. Sounds cute!

That's it for today, ladies! I went to my daughter's Christmas concert last night. The kids did an absolutely wonderful job! It was a great show. This morning we are going to my son's Christmas pageant at his preschool. I can't wait. Haha

Yes observant you just crack up because you were also the one who noticed how late Kate was staying up. It's like you look at the fine print. I never pay any attention to the headings but I digresse. I didn't finish my book my client was very restless and I was trying to get her to relax her phone kept bothering her. She acted as though she was afraid to miss something and talking to her relaxed her a bit so she got my attention.

I'll have to g and check your review. I usually try to check out your guys reviews when the updates show up in my inbox even Penny's reviews and lately I have been slacking. Kate~ is was RF who was asking about LK's book but on FB yesterday she had a contest and it was asking you to change a letter in one of her book titles so that the title pertained to diet. RF I have to confess as creative as I like to be found it hard to come up with something. I'm not really sure what the prize was or if it was just for fun. You could also tag a phrase or something like that but I'm unfamiliar. Others made up ones like The Devil's food Cake instead Devil in winter. Anyhow that's my news today. My work called me again and wanted me to go back to the lady I sat with yesterday but I didn't get the message until it was too late. :(

Haha It's true that I have a major attention to detail streak! It drives me crazy sometimes, but it has served me well in my professional life, especially in my legal career. But it has its drawbacks too. It's the reason I notice almost every single grammatical mistake when I'm reading; if the book is good I can overlook it, otherwise it drives me nuts! I think I should look into a career in editing. It could be fun; so long as the books I'm editing aren't royally boring. LOL

I missed the FB contest. Truthfully, if you didn't tell me about them, I'd miss them all. Is that one done already?

Wow, guys! I see that THE MARRIAGE LIST is back up to .99 cents. I didn't realize that it was only free until noon. Amazon does that with some of their books from time to time; or should I say the publisher does that? I'm not sure who, but that does happen. I only just realized because I get those emails from Free Party, or whatever the heck they're called. They send out emails on Fridays listing freebies. Some are free all day, while others are only until noon. The email tells you which books fall into which category. Sorry about that!

Good morning, ladies. Here are a few freebies for today. EB, this first one is just for you. A full length P&P ripoff. No angels this time. LOL

Uh oh, the second book has JA in the title. Not sure what that's about. Gotta go check. WTH?! It's set in the Australian outback. The H has to protect the h who is being chased by the Russian mafia. H becomes attracted to her, he's engaged to another woman. I'm not sure where the heck this book is going, or what the hell JA has to do with it. Sounds like a contemporary, although probably set in the 20th Century. I think some of those are considered historical now. LOL

Remember that GOVERNESS series we had has a freebie recently? The one story that was broken up into three or four books? The LADY GABRIELLE title is the story of how the h's parents fell in love. There is also another title (all in one book, thank God) which tells the story of how the h's sister finds love. That book is Pirate Bride.

That's it for today, ladies. I'm taking my kids for a playdate so they can exchange gifts with my daughter's best friend (who is like a sister to both my kids.) The plan includes taking them to see the movie, ANNIE! I might perish from boredom in the movie theater. ROTFL Anyhow, I hope you all have a great weekend. We'll talk later. BTW I don't know what the heck was up with all the lesbian erotic titles that popped up in my freebie search today. It baffles me. Sometimes I'm inundated with stepmama erotic books, next it's gay, now it's lesbian. And none of them seem to be historical so I really cannot explain that!

RF~ AWW shucks Mrs. Pescatore...lol I'm glad if it inspires you because we all need that sometimes. Don't we? My kids are off for the next 16 days. How about yours? I still have to finish FQ I had a movie night last night and saw Magic In The Moonlight.

It was the movie with Colin Firth and Emma Stone. It was pretty cute. Colin makes his second really bad proposal. LOL Just like he did as Darcy he insults than makes his declaration. It was a cute movie. I thought it was going to be funnier but it was still good.

I think you'll have a lot of luck when it comes time for you to go back to work. I talked with the granddaughter we had a good time reminiscing.

It sounds like everything is going well with that patient and her family. Strange how God works, isn't it? I'm glad things are working out so well.

Yes, you definitely are an inspiration, and I'm not just saying that. So many people want to make changes in their lives, but don't take the necessary steps to do that. I've been guilty of that myself many times in the past. Right now I'm on the precipice of going back to work. MY little one will be in Kindergarten next year. What to do is the big question that is hovering over my head. I don't particularly want to go back to law because the hours and commitment is such that it would most likely take away from my kids. Nursing is an option, but WHAT and WHERE is the question. I'm thinking school nurse, but my past experience has been ICU with adults, not children. I'm trying to leave it in God's hands, but as the saying goes "God helps those who helps themselves" so, I have to do SOMETHING in the right direction. Sigh

Ideally I would love to find something that I enjoy doing that I can do from home. Who doesn't want that? LOL

The movie sounds super cute. It's a historical, I'm guessing? I've yet to watch the P&P series that I taped, but definitely plan on doing that over the break. My son had his last day of school yesterday. He played baby Jesus in his pageant. He did such a good job and was so cute, if I do say so myself. Haha. My daughter goes to school on Monday and Tuesday. They both are off until Jan 5th.

Today is playdate and movie with friends. I still have a lot of wrapping to do, but at least we got a start on it yesterday. We will be spending Christmas Eve at my sister in law's house. It's my job to make the pasta sauce, so I'll be busy most of the day. Dinner is in the evening at 6. How are your holiday plans going? Knowing you, Martha Stewart, you've got everything under control. ROTFL

RF~ I read the review you told me about on Emerald Desire. OMG what a nightmare. It is without a doubt not a read for me. The abusive husband could have maybe worked for me but the rest and the angst described tears the heart out of the romance for me. I absolutely hate the idea of reading a disaster like that.

I know and the fact she over heard him spouting these words of love to this other chic and later tells her that it meant nothing how could you believe anything he said. There are so many girls who think that that is ok nowadays and I just have never understood that. If there is no trust then there is nothing for me. You know? Relationships have to be start out with that strong foundation and it just sounded so trashy.

You're exactly right. What i find extremely disturbing is that so many women read books like this one and think it's ok. What does that day about THEIR self esteem?
