Okay this may seem like I'm cyber stalking but I'm really worried about Noreen. She hasn't posted here since Nov. 18th and her last review on Amazon since the 13th. My prayers are with you Noreen.

Oh man Kate I hate when a book doesn't go anywhere. I hope your right about Noreen. I'm a worry wart. I put my tree up the second week in November. I love everything about Christmas except the crowds at the stores with the shoving and pushing. I just ordered the last of the Christmas gifts last week so I just have to wrap them. Poor puppies no Christmas gifts. What kind of dog do you have? I have 2 Dachshunds. Spoiled rotten. :) Sounds like yours are too.

Hey Guys, I'm so sorry I've been MIA. The last couple of days have been horrendously busy; not to mention I've been struggling with a wicked headache that's borderline migraine! Monday I had a ton of running around to do, while yesterday I had to prepare for my CCD lesson as well as our class service project. The little monsters drove me nuts in class and I finally had to get super nasty!

The worst part is that I haven't even had time to read. Usually if I'm too busy to get involved in a book, I at least read parts of old favorites. Not even that I've been doing. At night I put on my wireless headphones and listen to television until I fall asleep. I've been so exhausted! Of course, that's not nearly as satisfying as reading a good book!

Unfortunately, it's going to another busy day, but at least I'll be able to take a little break. I've been woefully ignoring my housework and need to get a least a little dent made in the laundry, etc. that I have to get done. BTW EB, how's the job coming along. No matter what Kate says, working with seniors is nice. True it can be difficult if you get a client who is truly ornery, but I've found that even the so-called "difficult" ones are sweet at heart. As a matter of fact, "difficult" ones are the most fun! They just don't have time for bullcrap. LOL Have you gotten anymore clients as yet?

Anyhow, Kate I totally understand what you're talking about. I'm a huge crime show fanatic--I think it's a professional hazard. I watch the Investigation Discovery channel that shows non-stop true crime documentaries, such as Dateline and a host of others. One of the shows that they air is called "Disappeared" that feature cases where people's loved ones have disappeared without a trace. Most often the show has no conclusion as the loved on is still missing.

I see how much fear and agony the families go through, so I think it's the height of selfishness to just run off without a word to anyone. If you want to go "find yourself" just leave a note saying that you'll be out of communication for the foreseeable future and don't know if/when you'll be in touch. I can only imagine the suffering your poor sister had to endure. I too would've voted for a hitman. LOL

I've often joked with my husband that if I disappear DON'T call the police or come looking for me because I DON'T WANT TO BE FOUND!! LOL Joking aside though, I've told him that I would NEVER do that. If I want out of our life I'll at least have the decency to leave him a note--or nowadays send him an email or a text (LOL).

WHAT? I shelled out .99 cents for that book too! Now I'm disappointed. My only solace is that I used a promotional credit I got from Amazon to pay for it. They give me a dollar every time I forgo using my Prime shipping. So of course I order each item individually so that I get a dollar for each order! LOL That sucks about the book though.

No pets here. I have enough trouble taking care of my two kids. They want a dog--badly. I don't know why my daughter wants one, since as she's scared shitless of them--she's scaredy cat. LOL Anyhow, I think when they get bigger we might get a dog. I like dogs...cats, not so much. They're kinda creepy. I hate the way they sneak around. Haha

BTW EB, thanks for the Christmas "trees", loved them! LOL And I also loved the CH video, although I prefer him with longer hair.

I hope you're right about Noreen too, Kate. I'm like EB, a worry wart! Anyhow, I'm off to do the freebie list for today. TTYL

RF~ They are making out the schedule today and I should find out than what I'm looking at client wise. The lady I talked to said get your feet wet first which is what I'm doing. She said they would train me for personal care as I'm labeled as companion now. The personal care gives you more versatility so you would get more clients. I told them that for that I want more training because I would like to be better prepared. I watched a video and such but there is a difference from what I currently do.

I am not a cat person either. Besides the fat that my son s allergic I find the litter box smell disgusting and the fact that they climb on counters and other places just drives me crazy. Cats are also unpredictable where as dogs live to please you and are loyal now who can argue those traits?

Noreen and I have both read Knight in shining armor that I know for sure. I have another of her books but I've never finished it. I have to be in that special mood and I'm not there yet. I was on that kindle scouting sight that I gave you and there are some good books I've nominated. A highland knight book, P&P spin off, and a Countess book. Two of my selections are labeled "HOT" which means they have a good chance of getting published. Which also means I will get them for free. Yeah! Take care all!

I assume by personal care that would include tasks such as bathing, dressing, etc? Yes, a little more training to prepare yourself for that would be nice, but really, you have kids it's no different. There's safety issues to consider, of course, because any senior who needs help with personal care will usually have some mobility issues, but aside from that the main thing is to maintain your client's dignity. You'll be great at this job, I think. From what I know of you, it's a perfect fit!

BTW did you notice how short our freebie list is today? I'm feeling totally restless...too unsettled to start a book, or maybe I feel unsettled because I'm not reading? It's amazing how grounded reading makes me feel. Anyhow, I haven't had the time to force myself to start a book, but as soon as I do, I plan on doing just that. I've noticed lately that if I force myself to start reading, as soon as the story hooks me, I'm good.

You are right that is personal care. I know it is very similar to kids. I think though that there are aspects to this such as their skin is thinner than ours and I just don't want to be ignorant to things that you need to be aware of. If I messed up with my kids I rolled with and learned and it was my kid. This however is someones mother or grandmother so I do want to be sure that they are being cared for the right way. I am probably making to much of this but I will be in their house and there is no one around I can just go and ask and it's new to me. I am pretty self motivated and don't need direction in general. I just don't want to be thrown into a position I am unclear about.

BTW I am reading a short ditty by Lisa Kleypas that I have never read before. It's a Christmas shortie called Gifts of Love. The first story is from another author so of course you know I have to read our girls first. Oh how I have missed reading her stories. I am LOVING it and then I plan on reading the other story. The reviews for it were good. I just skipped to dessert first. LOL I also ordered another story by her I found, and Kate you already know all this, it is only available in paperback so that should be coming in the mail. I will see if this one is a loanable but unfortunately a lot of hers aren't but there is always a hope for Christmas Spirit. BTW I bet if I asked for takers on trimming my tree after seeing the pictures I sent you I will have more takers! LMAO

Sorry ladies it is not a loanable. It is a very enjoyable read though. The Wallflowers Christmas was too. Marcus...sigh. He's my favorite if I haven't said that a million times before...oh wait I have. LOL Sebastian is adorable as well with his pregnant Evangeline. Those two are the main ones but the story itself is cute too. It is Lillian's brother that is looking for a wife to please their father. I know Lillian's sister is in this book too but she was a forgettable character to me. Outshined by all the other wallflowers. Annabel was just ahead of her. I did enjoy her story but it was more towards the end that I really got into her story before that I was watching the sparks fly between Marcus and Lillian. Okay now I'm even sounding obsessed to myself but when something is good you just can't help it. LOL Am I right ladies?

Of course it's not loanable. I hate to say it, but the big name publishers never allow their books to be loaned out. It sucks, but such is life.

Anyhow, I just purchased my first Kleypas book--the first one that I am buying, that is. I received $3 in promotional credits from Amazon and promptly used them to purchase the first in the Kleypas Wallflower Series. I got sick of listening to EB reminisce and feeling like an outsider, so I decided to join the party. ROTFL

Anyhow, today Kleypas has three of her titles on sale for $2.99 each, one of which is book 1 in the Wallflower series. My gf who sent me those two other Kleypas books clued me into the fact that every so often LK offers her books at a reduced price. Apparently, she rotates the titles and I think they are only available at the sale price for one day. Anyhow, I added LK to my favorites and have been checking her Amazon page everyday. Today it paid off! Yay!

Yes EB, of course you're worrying unnecessarily, but it's perfectly natural. Always happens whenever we have to do something new, especially when we care about doing it well. In a few weeks you'll look back and wonder why you were so nervous. Yes, being in a client's home alone can be nerve wracking. I've been a home health nurse, and even though my patients are essentially healthy, except for some minor problem, being the sole healthcare provider in the home can be a bit stressful because you never know what you're walking into. That being said, I've never had a bad situation with a homebound patient, but my hubby (who is a physical therapist and does home health) has had to call an ambulance for his patient. But that was once in almost fifteen years, so that's not bad.

The bottom line is that once you get going in the new job you're gonna be great and you're gonna love it. I remember you saying that you're an old soul and relate better to people who are significantly older than yourself...this makes you a perfect candidate for this type of job. So often the people who do this kind of work don't really care about their client/patients and just see them as a means to an end. That's sad because so many are not as mobile as they used to be and are quite lonely. They appreciate having someone listen to them, and not treat them like they're senile!

RF~ Yeah yesterday I was on FB and posted another CH video of funny Thor things with him on Conan. Anyhow Nat commented on it saying he was her Aussie. So I IM'D her and asked if she had a book that needed to reviewed. She was out and about and said she'd check when she got home and I never heard anything else. Whatever I have LK right now. It was pretty early yesterday when we talked. Who knows maybe she's upset because I had turned down the two she had posted a week ago. I did not like the synopsis and told her I wanted to read something else. She shouldn't be but what else can I assume with no communication on her end.

Typical. I'm sure you weren't surprised. I never bothered to respond to her last request to have a book reviewed. I was still annoyed over the previous book and figured I'd be as responsive to the request as she was to my earlier message. Childish, I know, but sometimes it's better for me to say nothing. LOL

I know what you mean because if she does contact me I intend to ignore it. I'm not saying I won't do another review for them but it does kind of piss me off that she doesn't seem to think returning a message as important. It's just plain rude and inconsiderate. She may live in Australia but she can message anytime that's convenient for her and I would get it when it was a good time for me. I guess I'm just not important enough to make her list.

Anyhow I finished LK's story and am now working on Kay Hooper. Anybody ever read anything by her? LK did a dynamite job of course. You know one thing I've noticed about LK's stories that makes her unique to me is when her characters have a big blow out and you know they will. Things always seem to reach a head at some point and you think, " Here it comes."

Her characters will get ruffled feathers and not speak but they never carry long grudges in most cases. I like that because in most books things get way too drug out but she always seems to keep things in control. They work things out like a real couple would hopefully do.

It's funny Kate, I read KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR it was one of the best time travel I've ever read, and I loved that book, but I don't ever want to read another that ends like it. The h returns to the present leaving the H behind. When they initially met, the H had been a wastrel of the worst kind and had been executed, if I remember correctly. After she went back in time with him, she had such a positive impact on his life that he changed for the better. When she returned to the present, and looked into his life, he had made so many positive contributions and was known for those instead of for his misdeeds as had previously been the case.

The h was devastated, of course, having been separated from her lover and knowing that he was dead, but she was happy that he had so significantly turned his life around. On her return trip to the US she meets a man, who the author makes very clear, is the H reincarnated. They had an instant connection and it was really sweet. This is how the book ended. The reader was to assume that she and this new guy would live HEA. I LOVED the couple so much that I was forced to go along with it, but I was never totally happy with the ending of that book. I mean, I had spent an entire book falling in love with the H then had to suffer the grief of his loss. Furthermore, no matter how convincing it was that the new H is the original H reincarnated, he was a stranger to me on some level and because of where the book ended I never got the opportunity to see him and h in their new lives together.

Anyhow, I read the reviews for the book my friend told me about. It just got released a couple of days ago. One of the reviews, although she gave the book 5 stars, said that she didn't particularly care for the ending because she didn't feel like everyone got their HEA at the end. It made me suspicious that the ending is similar to KNIGHT. Anyhow, I decided to skip it. I have too many other books to read, so even if that read turned out to be the read of a lifetime I think I can safely skip it. Besides, if it does end that way, that is a clear ripoff of JD, which doesn't, IMO, make the ending of this book unique, as the reviewer stated. But then again, she's one of those "professional" reviewers. LOL

Love the idea of your 7 foot, pink tree, Kate! Awesome! ROTFL And purple?! I've seen red trees, but NEVER purple. That must be a sight to see.

BTW I'm like you, hate to start a book when I know I'm going to be busy and wont have the time to devote to it, or worse, it will distract me from what I need to do. That's been the case lately. Unfortunately, it results in me feeling restless and malcontent. Sigh

OK ladies, here's the freebie list for today. The very first book is the Kindle Daily Romance Deal. It's a book by EB's all time favorite author, yes you guessed it, LK! It's available for today at the sale price of $2.99. FYI, it's a contemporary.

http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...

Uh oh. Make sure you read the reviews about that book before you read it. At least 2 diehard LK fans were disappointed by the story. Additionally the H has a girlfriend and apparently doesn't break up with her until the latter half of the book. One of the main complaints is that the story, between the H's breakup with the gf, and the ending of the book, seems rushed, and that the relationship between the H and the gf seems more developed than the one between the H and h. I don't mind there being a gf, but I don't really want to get to know the heifer. ROTFL! I crack myself up. LOL Seriously though, the book is only around 200 pages and some readers are saying that you really miss the 150 odd additional pages that her books usually have. Of course, there are others who still loved it.

http://smile.amazon.com/Earls-Forgive...

http://smile.amazon.com/That-Infamous...

http://smile.amazon.com/Maries-Second...

http://smile.amazon.com/Love-Beyond-S...

http://smile.amazon.com/Sea-Scoundrel...

http://smile.amazon.com/Sheriff-Ben-C...

http://smile.amazon.com/Proper-Scound...

http://smile.amazon.com/Manannan-Tril...

http://smile.amazon.com/Lily-Lovely-B...

INFAMOUS PEARL is the "clean" version of Ms. Quigley's story. She usually releases her books in two formats...the traditional, no sex version, and the "after dark" version which includes sex. This book is the traditional version. Don't be surprised if in the weeks to come the "dark version" becomes available for free.

MARIES SECOND CHANCE is a story centering on what would have happened had Marie Antoinette managed to escape the guillotine. Sigh

LOVE BEYOND TIME is a time travel romance. Modern day h travels back to Highlands. Sounds awesome!

PROPER SCOUNDREL is book two in Blair's Knave of Hearts series. Book one is also a freebie. It was on our list weeks past. Just in case you missed it, I've included it in this list also.

Not sure about the SHERIFF BEN title. But it's free so I included it on the list.

Wow! The MANANNAN trilogy is available as a freebie. I don't know what the heck it's about, but I liked when Amazon offers an entire series for free. LOL

Shoot, I'm running late. Gotta get my son to school for 9 a.m. and I haven't even taken a shower as yet. Gotta run. That's it for the freebie list today. TTYL

Kate is right RF if she is afraid of dogs it's because she isn't used to them. I was raised around dogs and I can't imagine not having them. My kids are the same way they sleep with them and snuggle on the couch with them. I had a Beagle mix for 14 years before he passed. I loved Toby and so did my boys it was their first dog and it's only been 2 years since we lost him. He was ideal for them because like Kate said they're low maintenance. My personal advice is if you do decide to get a dog to get it when they're a puppy because then they don't have bad habits or fearful. Lay the puppy on it's back and if it allows to do that it's showing that it is submissive. You want that with kids because that shows they are not aggressive. I just recently read that Dachshunds are the #1 biters. I can tell you this mine are the #1 lickers. They bark but do not bite it really depend on socialization. If they are just a lap dog to one person or a dog that is not around people they will do it from fear or trying to protect their owner. They're not mean dogs and it is really important that any dog you have gets socialized so that they learn that they will not be hurt. There is a period from about 3 months until a year that they are the most impressionable. If you accidently hit them with the vacuum they could develop a fear of the vacuum. My youngest dog is skittish around loud noises so when the vacuum is on he runs. LOL If your around he tries to burrow into your neck. It's really quite cute. But dogs are something I could never be without. Okay I'll stop. RF did you say you got the entire Wallflower series? On your Kindle?

I thought the same thing when I saw Mananna box set too and thought whoa and grabbed it. Over 600 pages but hopefully it's worth it. I also snagged Love beyond Time it sounded really good to me. I started Kay Hooper's book but got tired so I'll work on it today. BTW they are trying to find me a client. They said there is a possible 93 year old that would be a live in. I told them it would be something I would be interested in. I could stay 24 hours come home for a day and then do another 24 hour, etc. I could get hours and 8 of them there would be sleeping so I would still get sleep.

Thanks EB. I grew up with dogs too, and a few cats from time to time. I even had a cat as a young adult, but after that experience I decided never again. My hubby has never had any pets--he comes from the anti-pet family. LOL He does love dogs and we agree that eventually we will get one. My son LOVES animals, especially kittens and puppies. :-) My daughter is a nervous nelly--she's afraid of a lot of things. Poor baby. My husband's sister just got a dog...a lab puppy. He's totally adorable. What I love the best about him is his personality--he's so low key. I've never heard that dog bark. My daughter is nervous even around Percy! Unbelievable. She will pet him and such, but if he makes any movements she's outta there like a bat outta hell. LOL I'm waiting for the kids to get a little bit older and of course, we have to get our own place before we can get a dog.

No crazy lady--for the second time, I only got book 1 of the Wallflower Series. That's the only one that was on sale. The other two books that were on sale were not Wallflower ones. LOL I'm gonna check to see if she has any other books on sale today. Did you see the Kindle Daily Romance deal is a LK book?

Wow! You'd be able to do live-in with your kids? You know sometimes they can split the day in two or even three among different caregivers. But I hear you, getting paid to sleep is a major plus! Of course you gotta remember that a lot of the elderly don't sleep at night, or very little. Remember our friend Kate? ROTFL Sorry Kate, I had to throw you under the bus.

Yes that LOVE BEYOND TIME sounds awesome! Can you believe that I've had that book for months! I have so many books that I've forgotten about, it's a major crime. Now that I am organizing my books it's much better. And as I find fascinating ones, I am adding them to my on Kindle TBR list. I grabbed MANANNAN too. I already had the first two books, but I went ahead and got the trilogy. I deleted the first two from my cloud. I've been trying to get rid of books for which I have duplicates or ones which I don't think I'd ever read. In the beginning I used to grab just about anything I found that was free, but nowadays, seeing as I have so many books, I've become more discerning.

My bad I did not see that you that you only Annabel's book. My library has all her books. What is the kindle daily romance?

I love Labs. My brother had one and she was so gentle. They're great with kids and I would have got one in a heartbeat but they need lots of room and our house is small. Also as puppies they can do a lot of damage with chewing (chair legs, table legs).

Haha No worries, Crazy Lady. No it wasn't a daily deal. The Romance Daily Deal today is a contemporary LK novel. Did you check it out? I know how much you love her. It's a Christmas theme. Anyhow, the book I bought is on sale, unrelated to the daily deal. It and two others were on sale yesterday, and still are today. A friend told me that every so often a few of LK's titles will be made available at a reduced price for a limited time. I started watching her page so as not to miss anymore sales. I'm hoping to be able to get the other Wallflower books on sale too, but it will probably be a while before I'm able to get them all...unless I pay full price, of course!

My brother has a lab mix, Ginger. She's a total sweetheart. My daughter actually had no problems with Ginger when she was younger, but as she gets older she gets more fearful...of everything. LOL

Crazy Lady here... I get a daily deal kindle e book that comes in my in box but I seen no LK and in general hate navigating that sight. It only ever shows 3 books at a time. If however the LK book you refer to is Friday Harbor I already have it in Hardcover and I did not like it. That actually started her Cove series and I couldn't get into them. :( I'll go to her sight maybe I can see the deal there. You can always try your library just to get them to read and then you keep an eye on her page and buy them when available.

You should see the dog my brother has now. It's an English Mastiff and it is huge. The dog is so mellow though. He is so big that he sits his rear end on the couch while his front paws are still on the floor in front of him on the couch. It's so comical. His Lab whose name was Jena as a puppy use to rip the small lilac tree out of the ground and bring it to you to play fetch. LMBO!

Yeah it was Friday Harbor. I do see quite a few of her books are on sale but I own all of those already. I have been fighting with my computer today. It's been going so slow. So aggravating. It's working good at the moment.

Ya that's the one, the first in the Cove Series. It seems that quite a few of her fans didn't particularly care for that book either. Yes, check out her Amazon page. There's three books on sale right now, aside from the Kindle Daily Deal. I just started A Reason to Hope while I was waiting to pick up my daughter from school. It's early yet, but it seems pretty good so far.

That's a good idea about the library, EB. I know my library has all her books, or at least the Wallflower ones which I did check, but they are ALWAYS on hold!

Ya, my computer has been slow on and off too. I think it's just overwhelmed from all the internet traffic at this time of year.

She's worth the wait. I think she set a particular standard with her fans and changing and writing the cove series felt like a lower quality of reading material. I am actually getting notices on FB about these deals. LOL The word is out, I love her work! Unfortunately not that series. I haven't read much today. I went and visited my mom and clipped her cockatiels' toe nails. Then she has this ceramic Santa and Rudolph that got broke (Rudolph's ear) and so I'm remodeling his ear from plaster. Then I'm going to paint it for her. Her great big plastic Santa that lights up for outside needs repainted so I got nominated. I enjoy it so it's no biggie. The Santa for outside is as old as me so of course he needs fixed or it wouldn't be Christmas. LOL A daughters work is never done. LMBO

It's an inspirational romance set in historical America. I do read those from time to time. One of my favorite authors of that genre is Jillian Hart. I loved her Homespun Bride. I've read that book from cover to cover twice, and each time it's made me cry. LOL BTW Kate, the h is blind--and the best part is that she never recovered her sight. I hate when the author comes up with some implausible explanation to do away with a character's disability.

Oh that reminds me the book on Kindle Scout it was about a Highland Knight. Anyway the h is kidnapped and she is beautiful all except for her hand. It is described as a hook hand. It is has the thumb and pointer finger on a stump. LOL Not the most glamorous description but I thought of you when I read it. I also voted for the book and hope it makes it that way I can read the whole thing and get it for free.

I didn't get that far I picked the countess one and the P&P one. It's about Lydia and Wickham. What I read wasn't bad but that was my ify one. I like D&E in my P&P. When the book time runs out if they don't get enough to be published they will send you an email from the author and they give you a link so you can follow them or send a message to them. I just sent one to the author of the Sins Of the Flesh. She actually has a FB page and has other books but I was really in to the one on Kindle Scout. Noreen voted for it too. Did you see the Countess one? I'll check the dotted line out.

Yes, I saw the Countess one. I voted for that one too. I'm gonna go back later and check out a few more books. They have a lot of romance ones. I have a raging headache right now, so figured I'd better stop with all the computer searching, etc. LOL The contemporary one was pretty good. The H must marry by his 33rd birthday or lose his inheritance. His fiancee jilted him on his birthday. The h has financial problems. They are like oil and water, and their banter so far is funny. She's one of those hippy types, you know into the signs, stars, holistic healing and the like. It should be a fun read.

Yeah I just seen that one. I liked Sins Of The Father too except the author has words every so often underlined. It's kind of annoying but the book is good.

Does sugar run in your family? I just notice you keep getting headaches. I know your a nurse. Maybe your eyes need checked. Just wondering. Take care.

Yes, I remember. It was the older brother...the one who'd had a bad experience with his first wife or fiancee, whatever she was, and so pretty much hated women. LOL That was a beautiful story.

EB, I do have a history of diabetes in my family. My mother has it. I think, though, that my headaches recently have been due to the large weather change from day to day around here. One day we're in the high 50's, the next we're in the low 30's. It's enough to drive a person crazy! I do need to have my eyes checked. It's been just over a year since my last eye exam.

When mine gets really bad and I can't take it anymore I take three Advil. That usually works for me. I did take three earlier this afternoon, which is why I'm able to function now. I have headaches periodically--I used to get them just about every single day when I was younger--and, for the most part, I'm able to deal with them because they are merely irritating. Today's started to get way beyond "merely irritating" so I finally took the pills. I feel much, much better. I wish the weather would decide what the heck it's doing.

BTW did you read the brother's story? I know the h in that story was a widow, with two kids, I think. I'm really enjoying A REASON TO HOPE so far. The h has quite a family, doesn't she? How about her mother, a real B the way she tossed the h out in the middle of the night!

So get this RF I told you guys earlier that I sent a message to Robin Danner she wrote Sins Of The Flesh on Kindle Scout. She just wrote back (yes that's right RF she wrote me back) and said she'd comp it to me for an honest review. She's got it on Amazon for .99 now.

I knew you being a nurse you know what to look for. Sometimes with me I overlook the obvious. It's probably sinuses then. I am lucky not to have a lot of problems with headaches. I have in the past occasionally got one when I don't have coffee but I don't drink too much anymore. A cup in the morning and sometimes in the evening. So now you know for future reference by getting a hold of the author you have a chance to do a review with the author not an unorganized blogger. I know I sound bitter but it is funny how things turn out.

Also I tagged you on FB RF because there is another book event coming on December 16th at 4pm for a chance to win some book stuff from authors. It's from Eskape publishing. You can RSVP so that your calander will remind you but it's from 4-10. Moriah Densley is one of the authors from Eskape. I own most of her stuff.

Poor EB! NG has done such a number on us that you're shocked when someone responds to your messages. ROTFL! Seriously though, that's great re the author. BTW, I thought that book didn't make the cut? She published it anyway, I'm guessing, otherwise it wouldn't be available on Amazon right now. How does the KS program work? I know if the book gets enough votes it gets published, but is that at Amazon's expense rather than the author's?

Kate you are too funny! Seriously though I know exactly what you mean. I've seen or heard of too many parents being taken advantage of and who still find it difficult or impossible to cut off their kids. I hope that if, in the future, either of my kids turns out to be a loser, I'll be able to do what's necessary to maintain my sanity.

But in the case with the book, it was totally uncalled for. The mother was a real piece of work in how she favored the older, beautiful, selfish sister and pretty much ignored the h, unless of course, she was criticizing the poor thing. I was never so proud when she packed her bag and took off alone, right before dusk. The whole family was shocked when they heard she'd left the following morning. The stupid mother cried--please! Later that morning they received an invitation to the h's wedding. LOL Of course being a spiritual story the characters are way too forgiving for my taste! ROTFL

Here are today's freebies. Check out Kate's review for this first one...it's a hoot; the review, not the book. LOL Let's just say I'm gonna skip this freebie!

http://www.amazon.com/Cheyenne-Christ...

http://www.amazon.com/Daffodils-Kathe...

Not sure what the CANDY CAPER is really about. New book, no reviews. I can't even tell where it's set. OK I clicked on the "look inside" feature. It's London, 1877.

SPIES SPELLS is another book in the Regency Amulets Mystery series. Only God knows which number in the series it is, because although there are three books there is no way to tell which is first, second, etc. Anyhow, we got another of the books as a freebie a little while back, MAGIC AND MURDER.

WAIT FOR ME is another of those super short stories by Tiffany St. Claire. Of all her books that I've read--and I've read many--this is one that I didn't really like. It just felt too incomplete. Too many unanswered questions. There is an HEA though, so feel free to check it out. FYI, I did write a review for it.

SCOTTISH CAPTOR is one that I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. Read the first review...this story encompasses my number one pet peeve--the pathetic heroine who will subject herself to any humiliation
at the hands if the H because she "loves" him! UGH!!

CHEYENNE CHRISTMAS is awesome! I read that one last year. LOVED IT!!!! We got two other Cheyenne titles as freebies in weeks past--CHEYENNE THANKSGIVING and CHEYENNE CELEBRATION.

DESIRE BY BLOOD is a vampire romance--surprise, surprise--set in Victorian England.

DAFFODILS is set during WWI.

That's it for today, friends! Where are you Nooooooreeeeen? :-)

LMBO yes it is sad to not realize that is what people normally do is return a message when they say they will. She told me self pubbed her book herself. On her web page she has other books I'm assuming by her. I confess I really should look more into her. I haven't visited Amazon just her FB page. If you'd like the her FB page and let her know you'd be interested she'd probably give you the same option as me. It can't hurt an author when someone shows interest and wants to give positive reinforcement. I wrote to her on FB to wish her well and let her know I enjoyed what I read of her book. She had to be bummed when she didn't make it. I just wanted to encourage her. I believe it at Amazon's expense. There is a video to watch that it explains how it works but I can't exactly recall that part of it. How's your head?

She wrote Song For Sophia and I'm not sure but that you didn't like it. She also wrote Starter Wife that I recently had misgivings for. Has anyone heard of Katherine Bone? I've never read any of her books. She writes pirate books. There romance but on the high seas. Anyhow I met her at one of these events and so she pops up on my FB page and we joke around of and on. She is the one who invited me to this. I hope Kate you check it out. I think if you just went on Katherine Bones page you could probably find it from there. Anyhow Aspoon did not like KB pirate book so I never checked it out. There are a few books I liked books she didn't so really it was because I had other books to read first.

I haven't read too many pirate books but the one I did was by Gaelen Foley His Wicked Kiss. Them blasted knight brothers. He was the misfit because he was a bastard brother and never felt like he fit in. He meets the h on a remote island who is doing research with her father. He brings her to London and she meets the rest of his family. The in between part made me so angry towards the h because she came across spoiled and unfeeling towards her husband but closer to the end is so exciting and when Jack reunites with her it is so sweet. The ending was perfect for them but surprised me a bit. I liked her ending better than what I envisioned.

If any of you have read KB I'd be curious your thoughts on her work.
