"Except that I said I missed you." she told him. "So which park are we going to? Oh and I hope you don't mind handing over your pda so I know you are genuinely paying attention." she held her hand out to him expectantly
"Your not taking that away." Marik grinned and kissed her hand gently instead of placing the PDA into it.
"Come on. I feel like second fiddle compared to that thing." she whined biting her lip. She pressed her hands against his chest and stood on her tip toes. "Please."
She kissed him lightly on the lips, it only lasted a couple of seconds. "Thanks. So which park?" she asked again.
"Actually can we go to the cities Garden? I haven't been there in a while." she asked him standing flat footed again. She was slightly happy to see the disappointment, it meant he'd want to kiss her, or wanted her to kiss him again.
Gavin walked in. "Hello, Tyler," he said as he strolled over to her. He had failed to notice that she was asleep.
Gavin picked her book up and put it next to her. "Hey, wake up," he said, tapping her gently on the shoulder.
"Hi," Gavin said, waving at her. He sat down beside her. "So, how are you doing?"
Gavin flinched and looked down, noticing the gesture. "Sorry," he mumbled.
"No, it's just. . ." Gavin said, trailing off. He glanced up at Tyler sadly.
"Lucas. He did that a lot," Gavin whispered, gulping.
Gavin nodded. "You're more like him than you realize."
Gavin watched but said nothing. He frowned at the ground.
"It's fine, " Gavin whispered.
Tyler looks away. Times like these, Tyler sort of regretted befriending Gavin. He had gotten to spend those last years with Lucas, and she was left to watch out the window for her brother to come- an event that never came to pass.
Gavin sighed. Being around Tyler hurt him; she was so very similar to her brother. He looked at her and saw him.
Tyler ran a hand through her messed up hair- another habit she and Lucas shared, and took a shaky breath.
Gavin looked down at the ground as his vision turned blurry.
Gavin raised his head. "How have you been since your first, you know." He would have said Resistance Meeting, but he did not in case anyone was listening to them.
"Confused how?" Gavin asked, resting his head on his knees.
"Do about what?" Gavin asked.
"What do I do? I don't have any useful abilities." Tyler kicks at the floor. "I'm starting to think Lucas was right."
"You're a librarian. You could spy; you could look up information," Gavin said. "You don't have to fight the way Lucas and I did."
"I'm sorry," Gavin said, putting his hand on her shoulder.
Gavin rubbed her shoulder gently.
