The Library

It's late at night, and Tyler is just about ready to go home. No one else is in the library, so she has decided to close early. Tyler is reaching for the light switch when someone comes in the door.
((Usually you find a roleplaying partner and then roleplay here. :) I will roleplay here as Gavin for the time's being.))
Gavin walked into the Library. He had rarely been there, which made it a good place to hide from his ex-boyfriend that he had no desire to see.

"Hello!" Tyler calls cheerfully, forcing a smile, even though all she wanted to do was sleep.

Gavin walked into the Library. He had rarely been there, which made it a g..."
((Hello?))
((On my kindle with bad wi-fi connection))
"Hi," Gavin replied, a smile plastered to his face. He walked behind a table to where he could see Tyler but not the door.

"Anything I can help you with?" I stifle a yawn as I speak, hoping that it would be quick.
((Bye!))
Gavin shook his head. "No, not really."
Gavin shook his head. "No, not really."

"Well, the library closes in about an hour." With that, Tyler heads back to her desk.
((I'm done with hw now! Yay!!!))
Gavin sighed. He didn't want to face his ex at all. "What's your name?"
Gavin sighed. He didn't want to face his ex at all. "What's your name?"

Tyler paused before answering. Usually patrons asked for help and then left, not bothering with pleasantries. "Tylia, but call me Tyler, or I will throw a book at you." Being tired, she was cranky.
((It's fine. I went to bed a few minutes after that))
Gavin laughed. "Nice to meet you, Tyler; I'm Gavin." He smiled at her and nodded.

((Oh.))
Gavin slid to the floor, sighing. He grimaced and stood back up to look for a book on music. He didn't have his hopes up.

He shrugged. "Running from the ex, you know? Dangerous. You have something on music by any chance?"

"Cool!" Gavin exclaimed, a little bit of a smile on his face. "I don't suppose I could see them, could I?"
Gavin beamed. "Thanks!" He skimmed over them. "They're good."
Gavin shook his head. "Maybe you're just a natural."
Gavin shrugged back. "Still good."
"What happened?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. He sighed.
Gavin saw where she was looking and gave her a concerned glance. "Are you alright?"
Gavin didn't believe her, but he had the courtesy not to say anything. He sighed and started humming some of his own music.
Gavin worked on writing his new song. It was Council Propaganda, so he utterly hated it.

Tyler ends up laying her head down on the desk and starts to drift off to sleep.
((Eek. Poor you.))
Gavin watched, and time passed until the time the Library was meant to close hit. As she was not awake, he didn't bother to try to leave.

Gavin eventually fell asleep also, still sitting behind a couple of the shelves.
((Sure))
Gavin awoke with a start, blinking rapidly. "Where the bloody hell am I?" His gaze landed on Tyler, who was still asleep.

He stood up and walked over to her. "Miss, are you alright?" he asked with a grimace.
"You were asleep. It's morning, and I have no clue where I am," Gavin summarized with a sheepish smile.

"Ah!" Gavin exclaimed while the memories from the previous night began flooding back to him. "Right! Thanks!"

"It's fine. I doubt I was meant to stay here overnight anyway," he replied with a shrug. "Feeling better?"
The Library is made of black stone, and all of the wood is a dark brown, though it is truly just cheaper wood that has been dyed.
The Library occupies 3 floors of one of the skyscraper. The first level contains mostly tables for those, particularly students, who wish to study.
There is then transport to the next floor. This is full with most of the shelves hidden. These are typically reserved for Council Members and their families. Foolproof security measure have been put in to keep others out.
The last floor is accessed by the same means. This has the books accessed by the public. The bindings on them are worn, and some of the books have fallen apart completely despite librarians' attempts to keep them in tact. Only about 1/6 of the books here are easily legible for this reason, and most of those books are on the subjects primarily taught in schools, such as law, science, engineering, math, and Council propaganda. There are a couple history tomes, but they are almost entirely untouched.
((Is this alright?))
Roleplay!
