100 pages in!!

(view spoiler)[ I'm a 100 pages in so far and I gotta tell you I have no clue what is happening, all I got was that the MC's planet was invaded (I think)? Or their district, something like that. I like the format of the book, its what interested me in the first place, but dystopian/sci-fi books are hard to understand in the first place due to world building and stuff and having it in formats of mostly interviews or transcripts doesn't really help. But I'm still enjoying it! I really like Ezra and Kady and the whole world and I'm excited to read further !!! (hide spoiler)]

So (I think) the computer that runs everything, AIDAN, was damaged in such a way that it went "crazy" and ordered the demolition of one of the survivor ships... but then why did the human general order the murder of the pilots? Is it a cover-up? Is he the actual baddie and is using the AI to do his evil bidding? I understand not wanting to scare people, but a damaged computer can't be anyone's fault if nobody knew about it, can it? Does the general think everyone will revolt? Is there actually a bio-tech ship after them or is the general somehow involved with that company and this is part of a huge cover-up?

I like both Katy and Ezra - they both seem fairly realistic. I'm not always a fan of YA but so far I am enjoying this one. (hide spoiler)]

Loc. 2207-4233 (53%) - Yikes! (view spoiler)[I expected twists and turns - but that doesn't mean I can predict when they will happen or what they will be and yowza - this book has some doozies!! My mom called right after I read about James getting sealed into Hanger Bay 4 so I answered the phone all teary and I had to reassure that I was fine, just reading a sad book. And then the news about Kady's mom...and then, then comes AIDEN opening the door's to bay 4. Oh lordie!! Please, please, please let James be okay. And how many people are going to be infected now???? What is AIDENs end game - I know it doesn't want to be shut down again, but how does infecting the ship help with that? I have to go keep reading now... (hide spoiler)]

The whole Ezra thing I don't know what to think - I am holding out hope that he is alive and okay somewhere, maybe on the Hyperion in the med bay that is quarantine? Oh, the pilots that were spaced - I couldn't even believe that happened! This book is messing with me but I can't stop reading...I also can't figure out how Kady is going to make it out of this mess, either. (hide spoiler)]

Weird how the author's made AIDEN go from monstrous to relatable...That countdown to zero was something - my tear ducts got a workout with this book!! and that ending with Ezra's mother????? So good! Okay I'm not sure if I'm just being slow but I'm still so confused 🤷‍♀️ I love the romance between Kady and Ezra, but I still don't know what is happening in their world. I think AIDEN killed a bunch of people?? Not sure how bc I thought he was just an AI... Same with Lincoln and all those like are they all AI??? But then why are they fearing them and what are they running from? The scene with the little girl rly confused me because the guy that was trying to kill the girl was like "she's one of them" but who is them?? 😭 I'm enjoying it just confused lol!! (hide spoiler)]

Honestly, it took a while for me to get into it but I'm really liking it!! When AIDAN was going absolutely insane my jaw was literally dropped LOL. Some things are still not clear throughout the book but like I'm loving it so far. It did take a bit for me to actually understand the whole plot and stuff but so worth it!! This book was a rollercoaster man I still can't get over everything and I am so hyped to read the second book!
