I watched the anime a lot when I was younger but stopped after a while because it just felt so tedious. I mean, yeah the original seasons were mostly filler too but there was still a lot of comedy and the like put into them. After a while it just got bland tasting so I stopped bothering

I got really into it when I first got Diamond since those seasons were still running for the first time and then I started watching more and more. I'm still partial to the Sinnoh ones for sure.

I watched those too for the same reason but even then I was annoyed with how almost every episode didn't *need* to exist and all felt the same. The gym battles and Team Galactic arc were good but those were few and far between

Tbh I probably never saw all of them, but I liked the array of characters. The B&W anime was a disappointment.

I watched all of the Indigo League and some of the Johto Journeys. We have a DVD for some of the Hoenn episodes that has like, five episodes and that's all I've seen from there. Watched most of Diamond and Pearl and some of B&W which *was* a disappointment. ALso watched a bit of X&Y but none of Sun and Moon


I like how in the Adventures, the gym leaders are actually members of Team Rocket

I watched (I think) the whole Indigo League, with a little Johto, a little Hoenn. I saw ALL of B&W which I'm not proud of so I can say none of it is great. Highlight is the very few N episodes, no lie. Diamond and Pearl I saw a good amount of, but there were way more episodes in that series. I would love to go back and watch more.

I went into gamestop because I just got paid and I wanted to see if they had a different 3DS game (always on the lookout for that + whatever deals they've got on merch). I picked up this cute little what I thought was pikachu in a costume, only to discover that it is NOT a pikachu, it was something completely different! What a cop-out of design. Then I go online just a little while ago to try and figure out what it is and I see dozens of other cop-outs that are just shameful to their brand. Mr. Rime? A unicorn Ponyta?? it's shameful. Pokemon have always had innovative or funny designs with sometimes lame names, but they were usually cool designs. All these recyclements are a disappointment. The "alolan forms" I gave a pass on because it was the 50th anniversary and they wanted to do something different, but I give no more excuses. If you can't even have enough memory space for the fan favorites, then don't make up these things that are nothing but lame.

I like that they continued the regional variants instead of making them a one off gimmick. It makes sense too since wildlife in our world varies greatly from place to place. Horses in the Great Planes States are biologically different than horses in Britain and since this is Pokémon, they need to be more creative than "Runs faster in an open field"

Okay the regional variants aren't so bad, though I feel like the type changes make little sense in some regards and are confusing, but I'm still very mad about the thing that basically looks like a pikachu in a costume. Mimikyu was a smart design with a good backstory to back it up. That thing...it's just lazy.
