I'm not sure. it's not BAD but it definitely needs to find its footing, fast.

I think it's good. Not their best but good. They also should have taken more time with some of the special effects, too. You can see the edges of that room sometimes.

Another problem is that the main character is Boba Fett, who has about ten minutes of screentime in the movies and has always been an antagonist. Why are we rooting for him? he's tried to kill the heroes of the first two trilogies many times and hasn't done anything to redeem himself like Vader or Kylo did

The Mandalorian hunts dangerous criminals and the clones in The Bad Batch were defending the Republic and resist the Empire. We have every reason to want them to succeed. But Boba worked against the Jedi and then worked for Jabba AND the Empire

He was for hire, and he doesn't want that life anymore. He had no reason to be evil, just did what he was paid to do. I think some time in the sarlaac pit made him rethink his life choices. I'd point to the EU but they scrapped that...shamefully. we re rooting for his transformation. Plus, with your argument of him being an antagonist, on tatooine he's the lesser of most evils there.

WHat I DO like is how these shows are all stand alone but have easter eggs if you watch them al. You're not going to be lost without watching certain ones but if you so then you get to see cameos and references and such

I mean obviously if you haven't seen the nmovies you will be very lost but why would you watch the spinoff shows before watching the movies they're based on

I do love Easter eggs. Because they're fun to notice and make extra sense if you've seen the others but it doesn't hurt anything if you're not savvy. Its intelligent

Exactly! It's not a convoluted mess of stuff you have to follow or you're completely lost

You don't have to know Shand tried to kill The Mandalorian or that she was one of the bounty hunters after Omega. If you do you get to appreciate her even more but she acts as her own character in each show, independent of the other two.
