M.S. is an extremely painful and grueling experience that Mae's father had to endure during the book, but the Circle offered to take care of his medication and treatment in exchange for closer surveillance. If you were in Mae's father's shoes, would you accept the insurance and the price of privacy that came with it, or would you rather endure the pain and looming death of M.S.? Why?

Take it in a moment. I'd also work for the Circle right up until the bankruptcy caused by a company that is more Burning Man than Google. The thing about having a camera everywhere is that there are roughly 7 billion humans. Of them, maybe 1 billion can actually afford the connection to all those cameras. 20% are too young to use, 20% don't care, 50% are working for a living, and that leaves 10% (100 million) to actually pay attention. Of them, 99% would be bored out of their minds by my constantly empty home and the other 1% are burglars.
