Dorian & Manon ~ Pairing Discussion
I know I've said this before, but I must say it again: THEY ARE THE BEST TOGETHER! Dorian is so kind and sweet, whilst Manon has been brought up to be cold and evil. But she has a soft side too, and it would just be amazing if they got together. They could complete each other so well!
As for her being immortal... hmm... that might be a problem. But if he does have magic... could he be Fae, potentially? I mean, could a Fae have accidentally sired his ancestor from long ago and he's, like, a really powerful demi-Fae? Because if he is, then that would work.
If he's not... well, I don't have any more answers. }:>(
Perhaps magic...?
I dunno... WE WILL WORK THROUGH THIS!
After reading QoS I ship them too and when did immortality stop a couple??? I love how Manon managed to get through him when they talked for the first time and that balcony scene which happened after Manon asked Asterin what is it like to be in love. Ughh, I love it. Also, Manon is described to be very beautiful and she can hide her nails and teeth. So she can appear normal.
What was you reaction about the balcony scene ? When "the world had stopped when they looked to each other" because me, I couldn't believe it, I was like "WHAAAAAAAAAT?" !
Off Topic : I was thinking maybe Abraxos is going to die byt the High Witch, you know, Manon's grandmother ? I have a feeling..
When he spotted a figure on the glass wall, I leapt to my feet and started pacing around the room (I do that when I'm silently fangirling). Then I was ready to face the facts again and started reading.. Maybe a muffled scream was heard after that.. Or five..Not Abraxos! He's a cutie! I wouldn't want to be around Manon if that happens..
I think Dorian will need time to heal but I want this to happen so badly after the scene at the end of the book.
Dorian and Manon both will have to deal with their shit first. But it's going to happen. It needs to happen. I need it to happen. I don't care what anyone else says I love Manon. I think she is such a beautiful and complex character. Her and Dorian could fit. They are both such broken creatures.
Dorian and ManonManorian, Dornon, Marian, Manrian, Danon, Dornon, Donon, Don, Dorianon, Dorinon, Manonrian, Manonorian, Mador, Madorian, Madorianon.
Which ship names do you guys like best (personally I like Don but that's probably never going to happen *laughs* *whispers* plz tho Don)
Also tell if you come up with any others
I don't know how I feel about this ship because there is clearly something there, but I still feel a little weird about it. However Manon has become my new Aelin, in the sense that I'm okay with her ending up with anybody or nobody. She just needs to kill her grandmother and rule her witches.

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY! *High fives Liz*
The spark is there with these two but I'd like it a little bit more tortured, you know? Like with Rowen and Aelin, a little bit of mystery and circling and all before the romance stuff. But yeah, Dorian needs someone strong enough and Manon is quite the alpha female <3

Yes, give me angst! (but with a happy ending!)
Do you know the song " That's all I got to say" from the last unicorn.I weirdly think of Manorian dancing in a ballroom to this.
Listen to the song Maneater by Nelly Furtado and tell me does it describe Manon or is it just me? xD
I didn't ship them at all at as you can see by my previous comments, and I was vehemently against it becoming a thing. However, after finishing QoS, I happily amend my opinion that I actually wouldn't be disappointed if they became end game. How it would all work out? I haven't the slightest clue. So many things have to be considered and are variables of why it probably wouldn't work out: Her immortality; her difficulty conceiving and carrying an heir to term; does she even want children; Ardalan accepting her as their queen especially when they wouldn't have accepted Dorian as their new king if they knew the truth about how the King died (even with them knowing the king was evil. Anyway, I would very much look forward to them having some sort of dalliance at the very least.
Wow Stephanie, I didn't realize all the setbacks Manorian would have to face if they were to become endgame. I had my head so wrapped around the idea that I pretty much only thought "it could totally work, especially if Manon becomes the new Matron!! Then they both have high statuses and could have a marriage alliance!!" Your points are also great discussion topics, if Manorian were to become a thing how would they get past these problems.
Additionally, while wouldn't hate the idea of being together, there is a lot of ground to cover. Manon most certainly will have to earn Dorian. Who she is right now is not good enough for this sweet gentle king, though he'd likely never make her feel that way. She's got a lot of issues she needs to sort out. So does he, for that matter. I ship the hell out of their friendship tho.
This ship is just one big pile of no. Plus, if Manon and Dorian have kids they will be witches. A WITCH AS THE HEIR TO THE THRONE OF ARDALAN. Does that sound right to you? I think not.
I do not own this it belongs to the rightful owner, I just found this on Google and it has a pretty good point and logic to too.Aelin:Is the Queen of Terrasen.
Rowan:Has green eyes and silver hair. Green and silver are the colours of Tarrasen.
Dorian:Is the King of Adarlan.
Manon:Has gold eyes and always wears a red cloak. Red and gold are the colours of Adarlan.
NO. This cannot be real. Well... Here, have my messed up logic:Silver is Rowan's natural hair color.
Manon's cape was stolen/taken from a Crochan witch. She took it. She has no rights. Manon & Dorian is therefore unnatural.
THE END
That thing is probably just unforeseen coincidence. Remember how much it seemed to be Celaena belonged to Chaol? But then it changed. Manon and Dorian just DO NOT work! Like in any way! Dorian is kind and sweet and benevolent and he's going to need gentleness and kindness after what he's been through. He needs someone like Sorscha. I'm pretty sure Manon won't want to be with anyone anyway. She's her own independent, to strong willed to be in a couple.
Guess we will find out what happen next in TOG #5.You are right guys, this ship IS weird BUT Dorian is by far my favourite character, so as long as he is happy, I will be okay with who he will end up with.

That match seems much more feasible.
Unless both characters change in some dramatic ways, I don't see Manon and Dorian in anything more than a friends-with-benefits relationship. I foresee her helping him through this difficult transition and becoming allies of a sort, but nothing serious romantically. The brief glimpse we got of Yrene in Assassin and the Healer, and after the tragic end of Dorian's relationship with Sorscha, my instincts want me to put those two (Dorian and Yrene) together. Maybe it was Chaol's comment about Adarlan needing a healer for a Queen.
i ship it, i mean- it alread looks like Dorian has a thing for Powerful, bad-ass females. whats stopping it?

Dorian: Chaol, guess what?
Chaol: What?
Dorian: Something amazing happened..."
HAHAHAHAAAAA
