She goes to meet him and comes to know that he is married. She has son (Name Michael mostly). After 4/5 years hero comes to work for Heroine's father. Father knows and try to bring them together.

Shashi | 78 comments Remembered some more plot details. The hero has siblings. Heroine comes to know about his wife when he goes to visit him in his hometown to surprise him.
After 4/5 years the hero comes to work for heroine's father. He then meets the heroine again and doesn't initially realize that he had fathered a son.

TeriD | 127 comments I asked about this in a Facebook group and someone says it sounds like Treading Water by Marie Force. Is this the book?

message 6: by Shashi (new)

Shashi | 78 comments No its not treading water. In the book I am looking, hero married young and didn't have any children. And I think he was Heroine's first lover.

TeriD | 127 comments I really hope someone knows what book this is because I really want to read it! How long ago did you read it? Did it have love scenes? If so, we're they descriptive or was the book a clean romance?

message 8: by Shashi (new)

Shashi | 78 comments I read it sometime between 2000 to 2010. Don't remember the exact time. Not a clean romance. Some love scenes there, but not many. It was silhouette book, or harlequin super romance or desire category..not presents.

Shashi | 78 comments I also remember heroine's father had some engineering or construction business and hero comes to work for him 4/5 years after H/h are separated. Hero has working class background while heroine is from rich family. h's father has some idea about the past and wants them to take a chance to work out the situation.

Shashi, can you tell us more about the "other woman" - e.g., how and where does she meet the hero, her job/skills/interests, etc.? What is she and the hero studying at college/university?

What caused his wife to go into a coma? How long has she been in a coma?

message 14: by Shashi (new)

Shashi | 78 comments Hero married the other woman (probably names Elizabeth) in young age. they had lover marriage. I think he was also taking care of his siblings - a brother and sister. then the OW had accident and wen in coma. Hero blamed himself for her condition and took care of the OW for many years. She was in hospital. The Hero and heroine met in some different place where he was perusing/completing his studies which were put on hold. That is why hero is older than heroine. To some extent he is escaping the reality of situation with heroine. But he also loved the heroine.

Shashi | 78 comments The OW was in coma for many years.

The hero was mostly studying engineering or architecture.

The separation was for around 4/5 years.

What is the heroine's job? Does she work for her father's company? What was she studying when she met the hero?

Can you describe the wife's accident, where it happened, why the hero blames himself?

What's the location (country/region/city/small town)?

Shashi | 78 comments Not sure about heroine's job.
I think the hero was with his wife (?name Elizabeth) during the accident. he survived and she went into coma. So he feels guilty.
They had married young.
One of hero's sibling tells heroine about the wife in coma unknowingly.

The story is mostly in USA, city.

I remember that heroine meets hero on beach when he comes back after 5 years. Heroine's home is near beach.
Her father owns the construction company and hero is either engineer or architect.

Hero sees heroine with the son (probably named Michael) and thinks that the father is someone else. Heroine initially does not tell him that he is the father.

Was it a car accident and the husband was driving (which is why he blames himself)?
