The Truth About Alice by Jennifer Mathieu

Everyone knows Alice slept with two guys at one party.

But did you know Alice was sexting Brandon when he crashed his car?

It's true. Ask ANYBODY.

Rumor has it that Alice Franklin is a slut. It's written all over the bathroom stall at Healy High for everyone to see. And after star quarterback Brandon Fitzsimmons dies in a car accident, the rumors start to spiral out of control.

In this remarkable debut novel, four Healy High students—the girl who has the infamous party, the car accident survivor, the former best friend, and the boy next door—tell all they know.

But exactly what is the truth about Alice? In the end there's only one person to ask: Alice herself.

Kristina I love the way the story was told (POV's). I love the story even though it's subject is sad, but sometimes true.

Can't wait to see what others think...

I've heard some of the POVs are difficult to read since some of the kids are cruel. But sadly, yes, very close to what often happens. I got my copy signed and am very excited to read it.

I personally really liked this book. Not only because it's a real issue that a majority of people can relate to, but because the writing style was perfect. It showed a point of view from characters in different positions, who also had different knowledge & opinions. I just wish the book ended differently, because I wanted (view spoiler) & it ended before it could reach that point. The torture that Alice faced is a real issue & it definitely shows how much words can truly hurt you. I would love to see something come from this!

Tracey (addicted_to_reading) My only complaint about this book is that it is way too short. I wanted a lot more!

Penny I loved this book. I want my daughter to read this, she's just starting high school and this book is such an eye opener for teenage rumors that can totally destroy you. Alice is such an incredibly strong character. Would highly recommend this book.

Velia (veliaf) I loved this story, although it was a bit too short. It was sad and easy to relate to. I loved how the author used varying points of view to tell the story.
