What were your final thoughts on Nightshade?

After being unsure at the halfway point, I ended up really enjoying it. There was a lot of action in the second half and I was gripped towards the end. It finished on a cliffhanger (which is a bit annoying) so I'm looking out for book 2 now.

I've got to finish this series! I needed a break from werewolf stories...

I agree that it definitely picked up towards the second half of the book. I wasn't in love with any of the characters. It seemed a little like a Twilight werewolf knockoff with the forbidden love triangle and the Shay transformation scene was a bit underwhelming. I expected more.

For me, this is one of my least favourite books ever. The way that this book handles rape and sexism is vile. We see a scene where our main character nearly get raped and then someone walks in on them and the boy had NO CONSEQUENCES!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was disgusting. And the boring love triangle and they way that they treat the girl like she is nothing! They talk about her as is she is an object! I DON'T CARE IF IT IS SOME SORT OF WIERD WEREWOLF CUSTOM! WAKE UP TO THE 21ST CENTURY ANDREA CREMER!!!!
