"You said inside, when you introduced yourself." He said. "That's there isn't much hope left for you. "How do you know that?"

"Who cares about percentages." He said shrugging. "They get you all worked up with numbers. "When all that matters is the days you do survive."
"You've been alive this long." He said looking over at her. "I say that's a win in itself."
London looked over at her and thought for a moment.
"Come on." He said. "There has to be something you want to do. "Something you haven't got around to doing?"
"Come on." He said. "There has to be something you want to do. "Something you haven't got around to doing?"
He smiled a bit and laughed.
"Well." He said. "I'm a boy, maybe I could be a friend?"
"Well." He said. "I'm a boy, maybe I could be a friend?"
"I do know what you mean." He said nodding, letting out a small sigh. "Girls aren't exactly clamoring for you, when you have a plastic leg."
He smiled and laughed after a moment.
"But who cares about them right." He said. "They don't know what they are missing."
"But who cares about them right." He said. "They don't know what they are missing."
He looked over at her for a moment, wondering what was going through her mind.
"Hey." He said thoughtfully. "What do you say to hanging out sometime?"
"Hey." He said thoughtfully. "What do you say to hanging out sometime?"
"See." he said smiling. "Boy that could also be a friend." He chuckled as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a pen as a silver car pulled up. "Here, let me know when your free." He took her hand and wrote his number. "See you around Indi." he winked playfully and walked over to the car.
He waved back and jumped in the car with his dad. Smiling as they drove away.

London was sitting in his room playing a game when he felt his phone go off. He paused it and smiled when he saw the text. -Well hello there. Nice to hear...I mean read from you- He texted back
He laughed and shook his head. -I think it was that football of yours that helped jog my memory. ;P-
-Actually that was pretty impressive. I can never find matching socks.-
-I lied too. Always have a matching sock.-
-Just name the time and the place. And I'll be there.-
London thought for a moment before he texted back.
-Tuesday?-
-Tuesday?-
-I will look forward to seeing you then.-

She texted him one final message, then set her phone on her desk, by the edge of her bed. Happy for once.
London lay back on his bed and sighed. Smiling as he set his phone aside.
