Read your story and thought it was excellent. Too often time goes by and we let those who have loved us drift away and by the time we realize it, it's too late. I was particularly touched by the ending, perhaps because I too sprinkled my father’s ashes in the sea.
The story reminds me of a story I recently wrote entitled The Bridge to Nana, also set in Florida. It's posted on my website http://maudmuller.net and on Author's Den. Would be interested in your comments if you find the time to read it.
