Eeeeee, this one excites me!
Glad to hear it Anastasia! I already read My Soul to Keep, so might just skim it so that I can join in the conversation.
My main focus this month will be to read all of the free preview books I have, and write reviews. I am seriously backlogged.
I think 3 of my books will fit in nicely with our theme. Going for a goal of 12 this month!

My copy of My Soul to Keep just came in the mail!How are you liking Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children?
It's okay. At this point (about 20% in), I could take it or leave it. I suspect the pace will pick up soon because it is finally getting to the part about the 'home'. I am listening to it on audio.
You listen to a lot of audio books (or so it seems). Is it easier for you to listen than read? Or do you do a lot of driving?
I do most of my listening in the car. Between dropping kids off and going to and from work, I log in quite a few hours behind the wheel. I have really gotten more into audio this year.

My audio books are usually like mysteries or speculative fiction.
I will sign up for 15 books.Not sure what my theme book will be as I normally read speculative fiction. Maybe Authority or Stone Mattress.
Like Londa I am really behind on my reviews and will be concentrating on working on my Around the World in 80 books challenge.
Kindred is my choice. Not really into Scifi or paranormal like I use to be. I will read 1 book for the challenge. I hope this one qualifies. please let me know if it does not

Beverly, both those sound good. Great Maya! Kindred is a excellent choice. Not all the books we read for the monthly challenges have to fit the theme. It is just a good way for us to keep up with our reading.

I'll try and read eight this month. I have two books I'm reading for book clubs that will fit this theme: My Soul to Keep and The Haunting of Hill House. So excited!
Anastasia I just read and listened to The Haunting of Hill House last month. I MUCH preferred reading it. I listened to it on audio first and gave it 3 stars. I increased it to 4 after I read it. The rich writing was so much more effective in written form.
Thanks for the tip, Londa! I'll be reading it, borrowed the ebook from my library.
I'm reading My Soul to Keep. Maya, I read Kindred. I liked it very much. I hope you do as well. If I hadn't discovered Octavia Butler, I'm sure I never would have started My Soul to Keep.
Ok, guys, I'm going for 4 books this month. I heard those giggles. LOL. However since I usually only get through 2, it's a start, right?

My 5 star books this month were A Man Called Ove and Deep Down Dark: The Untold Stories of 33 Men Buried in a Chilean Mine, and the Miracle That Set Them Free.
Really good reading month altogether!

I picked one book for the challenge Kindred by octavia butler was my theme book. I enjoyed it. It took me out of my normal reading element.My favorite book for the month was A Light in the Wilderness by jane kirkpatrick
