I was browsing at the book store some time ago and this book caught my eye. Sadly when I went back, I couldn't find it. I cannot recall the title or author. Here's what I remember of it:

Hard cover, either white and red or black and red.
Approximately 400 pages thick.
Likely recent, 2016+ (based on that store's stocks of virtually only new releases)

Plot: a commercial flight lands only to find desolation (It could be in Seattle, but unsure). The population was decimated and the passengers must find their way. One of them, presumably the main character, is a doctor.

I do not believe it's a zombie book, more likely a virus or similar medical cause.
