H (no longer expecting notifications) Balikov | 10 comments Is there a simple, electronic simulation that allows you to choose two teams that:

Can have their historical rosters by year, or
You can choose players from any era to play each other, or
You can choose players to play against a historical team?

If so, how do I get it?

thanks,

Michael Linn | 11288 comments I`m not much of a computer guy, but the STRAT-O-MATIC game company has a computer windows product that I believe is what you may be looking for. As for another company, I don`t know. Their toll free number is 1-800-645-3455. Mondays thru Fridays you can call to ask from NOON until I believe 4pm
Good luck,
Mike Linn

Derek Bain (hardballretrospective) | 7 comments I can recommend several current baseball simulations.

- Digital Diamond Baseball
- Out of the Park Baseball
- APBA Baseball for Windows

I'm about to purchase another one, Diamond Mind Baseball, as it's next up on my list of games for my series of "Retro Computer Baseball Game" reviews. I haven't played the current Windows version yet, but the old DOS series was loaded with options.

Some of these products allow you to import historical data from the Lahman Baseball database, Baseball-reference.com, etc.. while you need to purchase individual season disks from others. Each game costs around $25 (not including season disks) so you might want to try them out and see what works best for you.
