It seems too early that the story is ending, right? :( Some books should never come to an end. Which part are you in now, Shin? :)
Oh that!! That was HILARIOUS!!!!! Patrick's such a douchebag! Will is such a smartass! ^__^
I know, I know.. :( I don't want Will and Lou to ever cease to exist in my heart. :')
Well..... The end was justified.... That doesn't mean I didn't cry... I did... I feel somewhat ..I don'tkknow can't express...
Puri- You know what's the worst thing in this book, you can't blame anyone for making you cry. :(I know that feeling so well, Puri.. *gives Puri a Bournville*

*takes Bournville and sit in a corner eating *
Trust me.... I started crying even before the ending....

MBY is like my charm bracelet, it just makes way to my heart, no matter how many times I discuss and bawl about it. :')

Yeah, Abby! Girl Power is Supreme. -.-
But John Green and Nicholas Sparks do a great job too in adding the heart-touching strokes to their stories. :)
Aww Shin.. :') Its totally understandable, whatever you are going through.. I cried nearly every page afterwards.. :(
Shinjini wrote: "Why Polo, why?? Why did you make me read this book?!!! :'("Because some books have the power to move us, and they are labelled as great books. This was one, and I know, no matter how much you and Purvi cried, you will never regret having your heart broken by something so beautifully written. :')
Agree? :')
*gives Shin dark chocolate*
This helps in fighting away depression. O:-)
Now that both of you have finished this book, tell me this..We hear of suicide for such petty reasons everyday. Don't you think its foolish? I mean, look at Will. What all would he have given to get a life like one these foolish people are so easily ready to give away any day.. This book taught me that Life, no matter how bad it gets often, is a gift nevertheless. As long as you are not a quad and you don't need someone else for even getting up from your bed, suicide is mean. Real mean.
Shinjini wrote: "I do agree with that. Thank you. I owe you one. Thanks for that chocolate. I shall wallow in my sadness while I write my review. :( :("
Ha ha.. :D You are at your liberty to do that. I shall wait for yours and Puri's review. :)
Shinjini wrote: "I finished too. And I hate this book! I hate this book for making me cry so much! I hate Will for making me believe in possibilities! I hate Jojo Moyes for giving me hope and then taking it all awa..."I agree :'

No, you know Poulomi there in one far more greater suffering than what Will suffered.... That is emotionally and mentally tortured. We cannot judge those who commit suicide for whatever the reason as we don't know their story... Their complete story.... Tell me this if you haven't read Me before you and you read in paper a Quad committed suicide wouldn't you have said he Should not have. At least he was alive and there might have been possibility ? Yes we all do such mistakes...
Shin, Purvi- I know what you both mean. And there is a certain kind of people I mean here. There are some people who just give up, too easily. By Will, I mean those who have been hurled into such a situation that has never been in their will, everything snatched away from them without their will, those who will go to any limits to get a second choice at life.
Let me cite an example here. A guy fails in a subject in his college. This test means everything for his future, his career. And when he doesn't pass, he knows there's no way out. People are going to scorn him, people near and far. And he decides to suicide. Is it justified? Is there really no way out?
Shin- Maybe it is courageous, but for me, suicide is hurtful. I feel its selfish. Because when you die, you hurt people. And its impossible for a person who has been born to this world to not hurt a single person on his death. Unless there's a level of suffering and there's no other way to discard that except death.
Okay, I'm getting too philosophical, but this just means that this book has moved me to an extent I never imagined. :)
Shin- But don't you think the guy dying will only increase the family's distress? They were living off him, and now that he committed suicide, who's gonna feed them? Who's going to make their dreams come true?
And about facing ridicule, there are hoards of other reasons for which people are condemned, but still they live. Think of a victim of rape. The extent of mental agony that she faces can never be described in words. She can never be the same again, but they live. I know its illogical to compare the two cases, but there are always going to be sufferings which are worse than one a person is going through.
Shin, yeah, I agree with you on that. We are not in that frame of mind as his. So while we think of consequences, he will think of the present, of the society's reaction to the situation and thus he saw his death as a respite. We won't understand what went through his mind just before he died.
*butting in as usual* :P :PThe Little Prince is a lovely book - full of meaning despite its small size :) :)
And you can never go wrong with P.G. Wodehouse according to me :P :P
I'm no fanatic. I only ever read one book :PI just don't think you should give up on him because I did like Alchemist :P
I finished SoaT, pta hai? ^_^
How about you?
Okay :PHaha, I knew! But pta hai, it gets better. 43 chapters too late but atleast!! Don't read it as a psychological thriller. More like psychological, crime novel :P
I was like- better late than never :(And I think what disappointed me was I kept waiting for the "thrill" to strike in. But it was after 43 that I realized I was reading it the wrong way. So when you read now, think of it as a psychological, crime novel. You'll like it enter that way :)
And I so didn't want to give up on the author :| I hope the Ripley series is even better :P
@ Lurvemii will write all the big replies regarding suicide when I am free :P right now using mobinet *just recharged that to :P* @ shiny will go with wood house XD I read my man Jeeves and it was humorous xD would love to check this out :D
Shinjini wrote: "Oh great! I was silently hoping you'd pick that one. :PBut we will do Little Prince next okay? ^_^
By the way, when are you posting review?"
Soon soon... Didn'tget time to wwrite...and I don't want to post short one.... I need time and peace... Did you write it ?
