As long as you all settle on a spot and have your books for it read by the Sunday deadline you can change it as many times as you want. :D
I vote 79...but will do as the majority decides as I have books to fit both 79 and 80.
Thank you Denise for being so prompt to answer questions.

I heard a lot about Demi Moore's memoir in the media before it was released so I wasn't expecting to learn much more about her. There were more interesting stories and encounters that were included though. I respect her for overcoming all that she has endured in her life and how she is just trying to be herself now. This book was an enjoyable memoir and I liked her narration of the audiobook as well.

Another fantastic book. Fortune, Ida Belle and Gertie are you their usual antics. They mystery is always good. I didn’t have any clue who did it. Jana Deleon keeps you guessing and it’s just a lot of fun. There are some very serious situations but Fortune being a CIA, retired but still CIA, its awesome to watch her kick ass!! Highly recommend this series.

This book was a disappointment. I don’t know what I was expecting but this wasn’t it. Sam and Tate has a quick, yet intense fling which needed with Sam betraying Tate with the one thing that she desperately wanted to keep a secret.
Fast forward a decade when they cross paths thanks to their careers in film, and Tate has been harboring major animosity towards Sam. But it is clear that there’s still something to be resolved between them.
This is where I wanted to feel the tension, angst and thin line between love and hate. While i was told, I just didnt feel Sam and Tate’s connection. It wasn’t magnetic and so I wanted her to cuss him out and be done with it. Sam was the one I expected to grovel and grovel and grovel, but he didn’t feel sincerely sorry for the depth Of hurt. I wanted more awareness and I just ended up not liking Sam.
I really liked the last book but this one felt off

Review: I had never read this author and I often get annoyed with YA, but this was a good thriller/mystery - it kept me wondering what was happening and I thought some of the things were pretty sneaky. And unlike Ez's book above, there wasn't a ton of angst. The teenagers were pretty realistic, and I liked the small town with the horror-themed amusement park - it was creepy! The messages, etc were also creepy. It was a fun post-Halloween book.

I enjoyed this installment and the history behind the hidden tunnels, pirates and lost treasure was interesting. I also grew to like Addie a little more in this one. There are new characters introduced, including a potential love triangle for Addie. I usually dread those storylines but I like both Marc and Simon so I am curious to see how this turns out. The motive behind the murder seemed a little weak to me but I was surprised at the identity of the killer. The mystery in the next book revolves around The Christmas Carol and I am looking forward to reading that one next month.

Review : Fantastic 2nd book in the series. Really enjoyed it. Vin has got to be one of the best heroines I’ve read in a while. She’s quirky but deadly. She just doesn’t give up and that makes me so proud of her. Looking forward to next book.

Review: I don't generally like time travel stories but the time travel in this book was so smoothly integrated that it didn't bother me at all. Xanthe is a is a traveler, who can hear various items which cause her to travel to specific past years. She has people she loves in the 17th century, and people she wants to help, but she also has responsibilities and strong ties in the present. I LOVED that, since those things are important, yet often neglected in time travel books. This book had a nice ending, yet room for further adventures. And it made me want to drink good hot chocolate.

Book: Rendezvous With Yesterday by Dianne Duvall

Qualification: Gifted ones, Book 2

Rating & Review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Gifted Ones series is a prequel series (though written after The Immortal Guardians series) that features some of the guardians earlier existence before they became guardians.
Bethany is a bounty hunter who got transported back in time from the 21sr Century Houston Texas to the 12th Century London.
She is found by Lord Robert, the earl of Fosterly and TBR began their journey together. I didn’t quite get the time travel mechanisms but since Seth was involved, I knew it would be okay.
Robert was noble and honorable just as Bethany was a brave and strong woman. They were a good match in Intelligence as well as compassion for others. Their chemistry was definitely undeniable. This was a little similar to how i felt with Claire and Jamie in Outlander.
This book featured Marcus and Seth as side characters but i found this installment just as good as book 1.

Review: I loved this book. What a fantastic edition to Anne of Green Gables. Really good mix of humour and drama. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Rilla is most definitely Anne's daughter through and through out. Her adventures and the way she deals with issues being a 15 yr old is pretty awesome.

It's really good. The series got a bit boring post Anne getting married but Rilla just gave it new life. I really enjoyed it.

How it qualifies: #8 in Kate Burkholder series
Rating: 4 stars
Review: I was quite excited to read this one because of the premise - Kate goes undercover in a strict Amish community, where a girl has died and nobody is talking. I really loved seeing more of the Amish from the "inside" and despite the mystery being ok, the Amish culture was the part I focused on the most. The new bishop that has come to town is charismatic and extremely strict - there are some pretty bad punishments (all rumored) and also rumors of child abuse. Some of the congregation like him and some do not.
I enjoyed this book a lot and I'm sure I'll finish the series fairly soon (although probably not one book a week again for awhile).

Crêpe Expectations (Pancake House Mystery #5)

This was a light fun read. Wildwood Cove is a charming town and Marley and the secondary characters are entertaining. The mystery revolves around a past murder and there were a few red herrings that kept it intriguing. I was surprised at the identity of the killer when it was revealed. The ending was sweet and it left me looking forward to the next book.

I had waited a couple of years to get Shay and Alexei's book. Shay was more street smart and sensible than her sister Shannon who was dating a drug dealer.
When Shannon's boyfriend gets them into a situation, Shay begs Alexei, who used to be in the life, for assistance. Alexei has been legit for a few years now and in order to use his connections, he struck a deal with Shay. He would help her and her sister, but only if Shay became his mistress for a period of time. Alexei has had his eye on Shay for a long time so this opportunity was too good to pass up. He just has to keep Shay close enough to show her how good they could be together, and to show her that his new life as a legit businessman is the real deal.
I really enjoy this series. It's a mafia romance that isn't as dark as it a lot of the stories in this genre. The writing is really good and the characters are so likable. I have always liked Alexei and now he is his own boss after decades as a mob fighter and enforcer. He was exactly what Shay needed after years of fending for herself and her sister. I also loved Shay's loyalty and determination to not let Alexei pull her in to the shady life. Their chemistry was hot and it was an angsty read. Definitely another great read
