Might be that it has different covers for different editions. Any cover that's on GR works, and this one is definitely purple enough. :)

I've had this one on my TBR shelf for a while and I can't believe that I waited so long. The main character is Ivy who has one night with her boyfriend that changes her life. Now she's been swept off to Bloodwood Academy where all she has to do is not date outside of her race but that's hard when she's drawn to them. This is a fast paced hard to put down book. I already have the next one on my kindle.

If that's accurate, I'm wondering if we've already used an alternate book. This is the week I'm having difficulty finding a #7 or #8 or #78 in a series.

Only one person has to earn the point. So at least one of us has to avoid using the alternate task. I haven't used an alternate yet and I am guessing at least one other person has avoided it. We are good if you want to use an alternate books this week.

Thanks, Donna, I'll probably need to do that.

Unfortunately I won't be able to participate in the game anymore. I'm sorry that I couldn't tell you earlier, I really tried to make it work. I enjoyed being part of this team, the game was a big motivation! Thank you, Donna, for being the teamleader :) I wish you all the best and many great books to follow

I liked this book, but I certainly wasn't blown away by it. I liked it enough to check out book #2, but I'm not going to rush it! LOL
I'm one of those readers who needs to really get into the characters. I didn't have a true connection with them, so I couldn't love it. I did like Dorian and Jasper's relationship though. It seemed like they both had what the other one needed in a relationship. Ruby, on the other hand, I couldn't stand! I liked Echo mainly due to her snarky character. She's pretty hilarious too, so that gained her some points from me. But my problem was connecting with the characters on an emotional level.
All in all it was a fairly good book and I plan to continue the series...one day.

Ok, no problem, thanks for letting the team know. :)

Don't worry about it, Jane. Sometimes it just doesn't work out with RL. We will miss you but we understand.

I love this series. This is my second reading, I read it years ago when my daughter was in Middle School. I could easily read them again. If you know me you know that is a miracle, I hardly ever reread books. The characters are wonderful as well as the plot. Wonderful!
cutoff was 11:59 Central time
A team CANNOT advance if all the reviews are not complete and in by the deadline. Reviews are due at the latest by end of day on Friday - 11.59pm Central Time. Without a free pass to cover a review still missing by deadline, the team will have to sit out the next roll.

I saw another team sat out a couple weeks ago. It isn't the first time it happened. We just get a little break and then we will get back into it.

Don't feel bad. This is a game. One less book to read this week, right? Not that it makes a difference when I am in several challenges. LOL! I will be back to roll on Friday.

Okay, thank you, Donna. :)
hey team...I need someone to roll for us and post our spot sometime after midnight central time. I have an emergency situation and won't be able to.
thanks Sunshine. I won't be home for hours and this emergency is getting to be a normal occurrence for us. We will get through it but it is gonna be a long night.

Team, I noticed that at least 4 teams have rolled past 100 today. So it looks like they are all gonna race to be the 1st team done with their books. I would not be surprised if we have a winner by morning.
Team 1 has won the game. Thanks for playing everyone. It's been fun. Look forward to seeing all of you in future challenges.
