Love triangle or not?

As for the whole Ringer/Ben/Razor situation (I think if there is going to be a love triangle this is probably the most likely trio)it depends on if Razor is dead or not. I kinda hope Ringer and Ben do reconnect because I didn't really like Razor all that much. He just seemed kind of random, I didn't find it believable that Ringer fell for him that fast and easily.

Ben and ringer kinda click though. The way Ben say her name and everything.
I don't mind EVAN/CASSIE/BEN love triangle though, as long as Cassie will still end up with Evan Walker.

I loved ringer and razor together, but at the same time I do think there was something there between ringer and ben.

Ben and Ringer
I refuse to accept anything else. Besides, I'm about 93% sure Razor is dead, anyway, and for some strange reason I'm ok with that. He seemed kind of random.

I don't see Ben and Ringer together, but even though Cassie has her moments, she is entirely absorbed and in love with Evan and he with her.
Ben needs to get his priorities in order.

Nope. I ship them too. I just like them both as characters better. I feel like either Evan or Ben is going to die in the final book, and that Cassie will end up with the one that's not dead.

Really? You didn't like Ringer/Razor? I absolutely loved them together!

Ps. Sorry for my grammar I'm learning english.

I feel like if Evan died (which he probably will) and Ringer does too (which I'm hoping she does) then they'll end up together. Not in like, the Happily-Ever-After-I-Love-You-To-My-Toes kind of way, but in a sort of 'we've been through the same stuff and I know who you really are' way.
I like Razor, random as he was. Agree that it's unbelievable that Ringer (whose supposed to be an emotionally superior bad ass) would have fallen for him so fast but I still wish he hadn't of died. He's got a distinct personality, y'know? The others (with the exception of Ben) all sort of blend together. Razor was a smartass with a big mouth.

However I REALLLY do hope he is still alive because if not she'll just end up with Ben (I think but who knows) and I don't really see a romantic connection between the two. Plus, I like the randomness in his actions, which contradict Ringer's logical sense of mind.

And all of that is exactly what I think about Cassie and Evan's relationship, except for the trusting part. It took Cassie forever to really really trust him. And I like Cassie and Evan together. But I also like Ben and Cassie's moments. I loved it when Ben told her that the Others made a big mistake by not killing her first. And then he kissed her (even though it was only a peck) and I got confused because it was in the mouth. He could've as well kiss her cheek but he didn't, and then I remembered the kiss he have her at the end of the first book. But I don't recall Ben saying that or even hinting that he liked Cassie. If anything, I was pretty sure was starting to like or care for Ringer.
So I don't understand Ben. But I never wanted him with Ringer. I don't like them together but I had accepted the fact that they probably do so wouldn't be upset or disappointed if they ended up together anyway.

And I do agree, Razor was random, but I liked him. As stated above, he does have a distinct personality. He can be a loud mouth, and can say some pretty random stuff, but he can get serious quickly.
I truly hope Evan dies soon. He's getting on my nerve, for so many reasons. He should've died a LONG time ago. He doesn't make sense, the stuff he says is hardly believable. Yet somehow is true.
I don't like how Cassie is around him, either. She becomes a love sick puppy. I liked her in the very beginning of "The Fifth Wave" without Evan, but now I don't really like her as much.
If Cassie had to be with anyone, I would like her to be with Ben. Though, I don't really know.
I thought there would be a love triangle between Callie, Ben, and Evan. Now I don't think so. I don't think there would be a love triangle at all, unless Razor lived. If he did, then there MAY be one. But I don't think Ringer is the type to leave two boys hanging like that.
This is So NOT a Love Triangle
Cassie and Evan are IT For Each Other :D
I Think Ben and Ringer are Going to End Up Together
Cassie and Evan are IT For Each Other :D
I Think Ben and Ringer are Going to End Up Together

Cassie and Evan are IT For Each Other :D
I Think Ben and Ringer are Going to End Up Together"
YES. THANK. YOU. haha

Evan <---> Cassie <---> Ben <---> Ringer <---> Razor
I'm hoping for Ringer/Razor and Cassie/Evan although I do agree that Cassie was a more likeable character before Evan. Evan survived as he is in the last chapter and maybe Razor isn't actually dead? I think Ben is most likely to die in The Last Star.

i really hope Cassie has grown out of her high school love, i mean the girl has been through hell ad back...
and i dont know Evan seems nice and the man literally crawled his way back to her because of a promise!
TWICE!

I'm so with Real Rad Reads and Ally (and anyone who ships Ben and Cassie). I've shipped Ben and Cassie since the beginning - EVAN IS SO CREEPY! (plus he read her diary... WHAT??!! YOU DON'T DO THAT)
I feel really bad for Ringer though... Her and Ben were kinda cute in the first book, but naw... If Razor had lived things would have worked out perfectly... But I think she'll find someone in the last book. I don't want her to die (she's one of my favourite characters), but if that's what it comes to for Ben and Cassie to be together... Well, I'm a bit dramatic, okay, but I'm desperate here.
I hate triangles, but there wouldn't be one if we just got rid of Evan! :D So simple... If only...
I think the best thing I can hope for is that it's sorta like the Hunger Games ending... Either one (hopefully Evan) dies/leaves, and then it's all like 20 YEARS LATER, and Cassie and Ben are together.

Finally, a theme of this novel is hope. My hope is that things work out for humanity and all our beloved characters, and because I am a sap, that Evan and Cassie both live and get to have a future (after some suspenseful moments, of course:) Keep up the good work, Yancey, and don't give into stereotypical love-triangle and angsty-tragic romance because other series (i.e. Divergent and Hunger Games) have done it. Please.

I can understand why Ringer fell for Razor. Its with Razor that she has been more open, allowed herself to be weak and let her guard down. And no matter how special her friendship with Ben is, their relationship just never reached the same level. Ringer and Razor's had been close and personal. And mind blowing.

I just hope Razor isin't dead. If he isn't I really hope Ringer and Razor end up together. I feel like Ben and Ringer never had and never will have the connection that Razor and Ringer hadd.

No, I ship them too in the 5th wave but in the infinite sea I didn't see anything between them so I think shipping them it's like shipping something which is impossible. I think Cassie likes Ben a lot when she was in high School but then Evan appears, and Ringer, and that's it.
I feel kind of sad because although I like the character of Evan ,his relationship with Cassie don't convinced me in the end. I mean he was a stalker ,he shot her and he lied to her .I don't know to me it's not very realistic this kind of love, but who knows. But I prefer Cassie with Ben even though there's no chance for this two to end together :(

Absolutely agree. I ship Ben and Cassie too. But I like Evan and Ringer as character. After the 2nd book, I kinda ship Ringer and Razor...

Besides that, I feel that Ringer has some strong feelings for Ben, and she struggles with that because she loves him as a friend but kind of hates him at the same time for his attitude ("Stereotypical jock that believes the world is a gift to him"). It's like she doesn't want to fall for him, but I think he affects her, a lot. In several parts of the book she says that she has to come back for HIM, specially him, and not the entire group, so... Yeah. I'm pretty sure they are becoming a thing.
It's also pretty clear that he feels the same way about her. In The Infinite Sea, they spend almost the entire book away from each other, so they don't have romantic "scenes", but when she's going away and Ben says that she wants to kiss him, I think that in fact HE wanted to do that, but it seems that she really intimitades him, and maybe he's afraid that she doesn't feel the same way. Also, he worries about her in a different way, and all of that thing with wanting to make her smile at any cost... I'm sensing a little bit of love.
I don't think Cassie likes Ben anymore, it's obvious that she's totally in love with Evan. I know Ben and Cassie kissed a few times, but I don't think it really meant anything, for both of them. I feel he just kind of did that, like Ben Parish normally would, but he doesn't like her.
I really hope that Rick Yancey doesn't try to develop a romantic relantionship between Cassie and Ben. I just can't imagine them together, even though she had a little crush for him before. They have no chemistry! Ben should end up with Ringer, and Cassie with Evan. I don't want any of them to die!

so i think in the third book evan will sacrifice him self for cassie and in time when everything starts to go normal ben will marry cassie and ringer will be the god mother for their children and end up alone. soz if that sound sad haha gotcha razor will come back from the dead and end up with ringer but they won't have children.
I finished the book yesterday and I feel like Ben and Cassie will end up together. Maybe Evan will die or something, but it seems like he just can't die...
If Cassie doesn't end up with Ben that that's fine. I'm not really a huge fan of her.
Although, I ship Ringer and Razor A LOT

I know others have their own reasons for wanting Evan and Cassie and that's cool.
But, Ben did know Cassie.
They didn't portray this in The Fifth Wave, the book, but in the movie when Cassie and Ben were both separately trying to rescue Sam they both knew each other.
Ben literally said "Cassie? I'm Ben Parish, we went to High School together!"
He also at the end knew about "Cassiopeia" and what she was named after.
I know the book is different then the movie but still, it may not have been said in the book, but they did know that each other existed.
Also, I don't like Evan, I mean how do we know that the Others aren't using him...
(Yes, I know that last thing was a little farfetched and ridiculous.)

I totally agree with her!! ..."
OMG I AGREE
I TOTALLY SECOND THAT
anw, i don't care how evan dies, i just want him to die.

If Cassie doesn't end up with Ben that t..."
YEAAHHH
I TOTALLY SHIP RAZOR AND RINGER TOO

You never know, all of our predictions could be off. Has anyone touched on the idea of Cassie dying? Maybe I don't know but what I do know is I have already preordered my copy of The Last Star

After reading the Infinite Sea and having myself blown away by the new Ringer/Razor relationship, I kept wondering about Ben. Does anyone else think he likes Cassie? Or do you think she'll always be with Evan? Basically, do you think there was a love triangle between Cassie/Evan/Ben, and who do you think Cassie will end up with ultimately?
