Renske | 12350 comments That cover image has a logo of an other website and I can't find if they allow reuse of their images. And a logo on a cover at all is not what we prefer here.

Ron (ronno) | 110 comments I'll make a scan of my own copy and will post it later.
Thanks so far,

In fact, we cannot use covers from most sites whether they add their logo or not. We cannot use book data from booksellers (except Amazon).

Ron (ronno) | 110 comments That's all clear to me now, thank you.
For me, there's one question left: why is it allowed to non-moderators to upload covers in case of manually adding a new book entry and why is it not allowed adding covers to excisting titles?

Regards,
Ron

Arenda | 26455 comments See the Help section: https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/9...
Everyone (longer than 1 day on Goodreads) can add a book.
and the librarian manual, https://www.goodreads.com/librarian_m...
Changes to book are limited to librarians.

You can apply to become a librarian

Ron (ronno) | 110 comments I understand the reason why not everyone is allowed to make changes (because some 'messed things up'). But one could also mess things up when making a new entry to a book. And still everyone is allowed to make a new entry.
I'm just curious to know, that's all. ;-)

Regards,
Ron

Renske | 12350 comments Because adding an incorrect edition doesn't damage the other editions. If everyone could edit books, a lot of damage could be done.
