AυвяєєƤαιgє | 721 comments "This should be fine." It was far from the center of the city, huge, and had lots of good hiding places. There was even a treehouse! "What if we stay in that treehouse? We could watch from above and the only way something could get up there is with the ladder?"

annaesj ((Is she coming back to the house and do you still want to do the store thing? Sorry for just posting loads of questions but I don't want to post until I have an idea of what I'm going to do with my character.))

Jago nodded, silently.

"Do either of you know a lot about plants? There aren't many in District 8... we need to eat, and we need water."

AυвяєєƤαιgє | 721 comments "Stop now." The Game Maker says. "That should shake things up a little for them." The cornucopia slowly stops spinning.

AυвяєєƤαιgє | 721 comments "I agree. Let's get settled in our treehouse or now, though. There's nothing we can do right now. We can talk about it safely about it up there." Sage says

AυвяєєƤαιgє | 721 comments Sage hurriedly climbs up the ladder. She swings one foot after the other, til she reaches the top. The treehouse is very high up and kind of tight, but it will work. She folds her leg, kneeling down, until the others also reach the top.

AυвяєєƤαιgє | 721 comments ((Ha ha, you said we were idiots. Maybe they just feel and understand real things better than your character?))
The treehouse, although crammed, will work. The rock she slipped into her pocket to use if someone tried to come during the night, she took out. She made sure to lie down, so none of the other tributes besides her allies could see her. Once they got up there, she rolled up the ladder.

AυвяєєƤαιgє | 721 comments ((@Alice, don't think so. In THG, that would be pretty impossible. You can if you want too, though. It's your decision.))

After Linadel's lovely song, a silver parachute drifted down and landed at her feet. It had a silver "1" on the side, and when opened, would contain a box of matches.

((It might be impossible because it is fairly hard considering ALL the houses and buildings in the Capitol for one tribute to accidentally run into the other.))

Sage offers to take the first watch, telling them that she was fine, but really the quietness of sleep might kill her because of her guilt.

Jago was going to protest, but Sage looked like she wanted to be alone, so he lay on the hard wood floor, and tried to sleep.

AυвяєєƤαιgє | 721 comments Sage looks at the huge park, amazing at it's "mini" ecosystem.

Se hears the faint sound of a rustle within trees and is tempted to curse herself, but knows that cursing doesn't solve anything. She gets the rock ready in her hand, expecting a squirrel or small animal, but when a boy, dressed in rags for clothing steps out she almost drops it. She ducks down, but not quick enough so that he sees her. He raises his hands up like a surrender and then says,"Kill me. Do it now." Sage decided to tiptoe down the ladder and sees that it is Amiel Fenby, a weak boy who never had a chance. But Sage knows not underestimate people, so she says,"Why should I?"

message 472: by annaesj (new)

annaesj Riva watched the commotion from the sidelines as the tributes ran off one by one. Then Minerva left. "Wait, where are you..." Riva began, but the small girl had bolted. Riva took off after her. Where did she think she was going? And hadn't she been hallucinating moments before...?
Riva tried to keep up with Minerva, but it was no good. She was too far behind. She stopped, panting, in the shade in a large square with a fountain in the middle. It was water! But that was no use without the people she had been trying to find it for.
She had a feeling Minerva may have gone in the complete opposite direction, but there was no way she could catch up. What did the girl think she was doing? Riva was worried.
She was still recovering, fanning herself, when she saw the parachute drift to the ground, only a few of streets away. Well she couldn't look for Minerva until that person had gone. She would just have to wait quietly here.
But whoever it was seemed to have other ideas. Riva heard an odd sort of laughter, a shuffling footfall getting closer... All the buildings near her seemed to be locked, so she shrank into the corner, so that when the person entered the square, they wouldn't see her until they turned around, at least.

message 473: by annaesj (new)

annaesj Riva hardly dared to breathe as this person entered the square, but it was unnecessary. The pink haired skipping girl she remembered to be a slightly mad career headed straight to the fountain. Riva raised her eyebrows as she drank. So, the water must be safe then? Wait, what was happening...? Before she realised what she was doing, Riva was running towards the choking girl. Frantically, she patted her wildly on the back, but it didn't take long to see that wasn't doing anything. She was loosing time fast... Riva felt helpless desperation, hurriedly looking about her for anything, anything. There! She sprinted towards a window basket, tugging at the plants inside. Unlikely, but her last chance. Riva ran back to the girl, forcing the flowers down her throat, knowing it couldn't possibly work. A dullness numbed Riva as the girl's body went still. It was hopeless. She sat, head in her arms, arms on her knees. But no cannon went off.

message 474: by [deleted user] (last edited Oct 19, 2014 05:09PM) (new)

Jago woke to Sage speaking. "Sage?" He whispered. But she wasn't in the treehouse. That's when he saw a boy speaking to her.

message 475: by [deleted user] (new)

((240 new comments?!?!? Did anything happen with Cia's group?))

message 476: by annaesj (new)

annaesj Riva jumped as the girl suddenly grabbed her. It had actually worked? She had actually saved her? "That's ok..." said Riva hesitantly as the girl rose. "Are you sure you're fine?"
She started gathering together more of the mysterious plant and stuffing it in her pocket. Did the Gamemakers know that they had put a cure for the poison in the same square in was in? Through, she supposed the girl had barely swallowed any and Riva had been very quick. And it wasn't like the plant purified the water, or allowed you to drink any. The girl would still die of thirst.

message 478: by Mel (new)

Mel (melsheard) ((@Chloe: Can I have Ash chase her now? Does anyone want to kill Ash off? Idk what to do with him))

message 479: by annaesj (new)

annaesj Riva gaped at the girl. Was she really that unintelligent? She would have died just then if Riva hadn't been there, and she had a purification kit all along. But then, maybe she just wasn't completely sane. Riva observed the commanding, in charge air the girl had. Riva was the one sitting on the ground cluelessly; she was the one asking questions and reassuring, even though she was the one who'd just been poisoned. This was obviously a tribute to watch out for, sane or otherwise. "Riva," she answered hesitantly. "... District Ten." She tried to work out where this could go. She was itching to go and find Minerva, but Riva knew she couldn't leave now.

message 480: by annaesj (new)

annaesj Riva shifted awkwardly from one foot to the other. This was definitely an odd girl. Maybe she should go. "Well... I've got things to do... Bye..." She would have taken some water somehow, in the hopes of purifying it, but she would have to come back later. Right nown all she could think about was Minerva's or any of the others' cannons going off because she had wasted too much time. She turned to leave.

message 481: by [deleted user] (new)

cιgαяєттєѕ αη∂ ℓуяιcѕ wrote: "(( Lolita ran away, Cia ran away and almost electrocuted two others, the remaining group is still standing around... So, no. XD ))"

((Well then.. I have nothing to say XD Also, would anybody like to kill Lia?))

After Lia saw Cia run, she decided she didn't have anything else to do. So she ran herself. She took what was left of the supplies and ran towards the Cornucopia, stopping somewhere around the entrance. A boy was standing there- older looking- with a bunch of rocks, ready to hurl them at her. She screamed- couldn't restrain from doing so- and ran at him, slapping him hard in the face, making him fall to the ground, and then the stood over him and squeezed his throat until he suffocated and his cannon went. She had killed the District 11 male, as she would later realize. But for now, she just stood there, realizing what had happened. She had killed someone

message 482: by [deleted user] (new)

((Okay! Where is Linadel anyways?))

message 483: by annaesj (new)

annaesj ((Isn't Lolita a kill-off? Because Chloe definitely said that if you have more than one one has to be. Or is Linadel one? And will a mod do the anthem?))

Riva stopped as the girl appeared in front of her, alarmed at the knife. She wasn't really going to, was she? Could any person, even a mad one, be as cruel and immoral as to kill the person who had just saved their life? Not that Riva wasn't planning on dying anyway, but she had been hoping to help someone who deserved it to win. Now was not the time to go, with Minerva in probable aloneness and danger. She stayed stood frozen in her tracks, wondering what was going to happen. Please don't. Riva tried to say with her eyes what she dared not with her mouth. Please...

((Heh I like that word. Aloneness...))

message 484: by annaesj (new)

annaesj ((I need her to die so I can concentrate on my other arenas!
Ok. I was just wondering whether she was going to put it up officially with all the tributes who are dead on it or something.))

message 485: by annaesj (new)

annaesj ((Ha ha good plan! Can you make her die a little slowly please? Like, stab her... I don't know, somewhere she'll die in about 20 seconds?))

Riva let out a cry as her head hit the ground painfully. She had scraped a fair way and if she had been able to feel the back of her head, she'd have felt blood. Her head was forced back by the girl's grip, and it was pointless for Riva to struggle. Her head pounded and her brain spun madly. Somehow, she still managed to reply evenly. "I already told you: Riva. Riva Edison."

Tears were forced out of her eyes and mixed with the trail of blood from her forehead. Riva grit her teeth, forcing herself not to kick upwards or cry out again. "Sixteen. Lia was running backwards, her supplies in a backpack. She didn't even hear the girls chattering, that's how out of iit she was. She wasn't sure if it was something she'd eaten before the games or maybe it was just the sun against her mostly black clothing. But then she heard the voice, Wakey, wakey! She didn't even hear the rest the person said for it was too late.. For the second time that day she crashed right into someone.

message 494: by [deleted user] (new)

Mihr had climbed down the skyscraper and escaped the Cornucopia easily after that. She didn't run into anyone, and was just kind of strolling around what seemed to be the most dangerous area, seeing if there were any tributes around. She was just turning away from a dark alley when she say a shape lunge at her from the side, she didn't know the boy, but also wasn't going to spare him any mercy. She stepped back a few steps, letting him crash into the cold, hard pavement. She threw her knife straight into his head and blood exploded everywhere. His cannon boomed.

Breezy (captainisking) Charlie sees Lia run off, than casts a glance at the girl. Running sounds like a good idea, she supposed. She packed up the rest of the supplies they had gathered, stuffed it all in her backpack-which she had been carrying- and took off, quick as a bullet. Whenever she heard the slightest notion of aa Tribute, she veered away and continued running.

annaesj ((Riva didn't have a backpack.))

Riva almost didn't notice the pain at first. She opened her eyes in shock and looked down as the weight came off her to see the wound in her stomach, gushing blood. Then she realised. She was here. She was finally dying.
She had been planning this months before, and she could have asked for a better time- Minerva had just gone and ran off, but, you couldn't have it all. Anyway, Riva was satisfied. She had saved people from tracker jackers, and not one had not recovered, even if they would all die probably anyway. And even now, hadn't her death meant that her killer had been saved? She hadn't saved Thea's life, but she had saved seven others in the Games.
She felt the life ebbing away from her, and quickly pulled the leaves from her pocket and strewed them on the ground with a small smile. Maybe she would be able to save someone else.
Riva felt tired. She closed her eyes, and took in everything. The heat, the dusky evening smell, the pain. She thought of joining Thea and her mother in her last second, before she slipped away.
