Adam was my favorite character in this story - I think he adds a lot of flavor to the book. The ending was not quite what I expected - my guesses were a little off. White's books always make you think and that's certainly no exception with Kill Me. A very good, thought-provoking story.
One online reviewer said that Kill Me was more like something you'd expect from Dean Koontz (another of my favorite authors :-) than from Stephen White. While it wasn't quite as fast-paced as I would have liked (I had just finished reading Dean Koontz's Relentless A Novel before I read Kill Me) - things really started picking up when I reached the halfway mark with lots of unexpected turns. I'll admit it did have a Koontz-like quality of humor and suspense.
Kill Me was Stephen White's most challenging work to date and probably his most popular.
