Ar20898 The theme in the story is that you should appreciate your parents and the little stuff you have in life , because the homeless kids in this story have to find ways to get clothes if the kids are lucky they get decent looking clothes others are torn and wore out . Another thing they hunt for is for food, and they aren't sure if they will find anything some nights they just hope for the best .

ld20389 Diaz I agree with you on this theme, we should appreciate our parents because they work hard to get what we want.
