How about when you turn around after talking to someone, and accidentally walk into a wall.Or when you are staring into space and you realize you are staring at someone and they are looking at you like your crazy (or they think your checking them out).

TAMW you're in a library and suppose to be quiet but you read about somebody else's awkward moment and start laughing and end up with your own awkward moment! LOL
Yes! :) Or when you start laughing at a funny part in a book and everyone is giving you weird looks.
Yep! And they ask "What's so funny?" but you can't really explain without telling the whole story so you just shrug and say, "The book." Or you do explain and they just don't find it funny.

As a teacher, I understand. But sometimes students get so excited about what they're doing, I don't mind watching and listening.
My awkward moment is right now as I'm trying to defend feeling awkward in a discussion thread on the topic while saying it's okay to make your teacher feel awkward and then trying to explain it in a way that makes sense. (I'll be quite now.) :)
