Martha Boyd | 4 comments Read this book in 1994. A blacksmith played a large role in the book. Arthur was obsessed with his Hurley stick.

I immediately thought of The Sword in the Stone (it's the only "kid" King Arthur I read), but I just looked it up and I could find nothing about a blacksmith or a hurley. It's available at the Internet Archive if you want to look it up yourself (you need to be a member to "take out" books, but membership is free; you only need to give them an e-mail address).

Kell I Am | 184 comments Maybe the Pendragon Cycle by Stephen R. Lawhead starts with Taliesin? Link to entire series... https://www.goodreads.com/series/4148...

**Book 2 it Merlin, and book 3 is Arthur.

Clifford Trout | 3 comments Merlin was the black smith, and Nimue was his adopted daughter, or niece. The novel was told from the point of Pelleas, I think, who became Merlin's apprentice. Merlin, Nimue, and Pellas all seemed to have telepathy/empathy.

What book are you talking about, Clifford?
