Natalia stood up with a smile, "Now that wasn't too hard was it? The kid will be safe as long as you cooperate if not," she drew a finger across her neck. Nat motioned for the guard to open the door, "I'll be back for you in a little bit," she told Mercedes without looking back. She walked up the stairs to Cormac's office and knocked gently on the door, waiting to be allowed in to give a report.

Natalia took a seat and nodded, "She'll cooperate, she has a pretty good motivator," she answered. Natalia knew she may or may not get in trouble for using Jessica as the motivator. but it was the only thing she could think of at that moment and the only thing that Mercedes cared about that was still living.

She was relieved when he let the use of the child go, no one liked to be on the wrong end of Cormac's anger. "Along with codes they have retinal scans and voice activations. The best way to get to it would be to get her into the Pentagon," Natalia explained from her seated position. She didn't know how well Cormac would take that news, Nat doubted that he wanted to bring the girl with him to the Pentagon. Then again they did have leverage over her, it just depended how the cards were played.

Natalia nodded in agreement, "There is one problem I see with that though, we would have to go in with multiple weapons. The FBI might just decide to start a fire fight and then we'd get nothing done," Quite the optimist Natalia was, but she did have a point, the FBI were not that good at handling hostage situations.

She nodded, it seemed like a good idea. She couldn't find any fault in it, she was in. "I trust you," Natalia told him completely truthfully. She didn't trust almost anyone anymore, it was nice to have one person to rely on. "When are we going to do this?" she asked, the sooner the better for Natalia. She was ready to be rid of Mercedes.

Natalia liked the time frame, it should give them enough time to heal up before starting. Natalia agreed with how it was going to turn out. She should be the one to kill Mercedes as no one else had history with her like Natalia did. Though she wasn't excited about killing her. No matter what Mercedes believed, Natalia did not find any joy in killing, but it was kill or be killed in this industry and she would rather not be killed. "Are we leaving Mercedes in the dark about what we are doing?" she asked, Nat needed to know what she could say around her with out giving everything away.

Natalia nodded, she would more likely cooperate if kept her on the edge with a fear of retaliation if she made the wrong move. "Sebastian is on babysitting duty in his room if you need him," she mentioned just in case Cormac needed to find him. She wasn't all to excited about this plan, but it would be over soon. Mercedes would be dead and things would return to normal.

Natalia listened as he talked, she could tell he was a bit annoyed with her nerves. She took a calming breath, knowing that he would get them out of this. She stood up when he told her that she could go, without another word to him she walked out of the office. She went back down to the room that Mercedes was in and resumed her position in the chair across from her. She was a bit more off balance than the first time she came in. It would be easier to get her mad.

Natalia kept her head level, the lie was smooth off of her tongue, no way to tell it was a lie. "We've decided to take you into the pentagon. That seems to be the only way to get to the chip." It was probably not smart of her to come into the room with Mercedes when she wasn't on top of her game, but she did it anyway. She just had to avoid letting Mercedes into her head.

Natalia ignored her first statement, "You are going to get us in using your retinal scans and voice activations," this was the whole point of Natalia being in her, freaking Mercedes out, it seemed to be working. Natalia trusted Cormac, she knew nothing would happen to them when Cormac was leading. No one would be killed except for Mercedes.

"You obviously doubt our abilities," This was good, Mercedes believed the lie she was told, it obviously scared her. Did she not think they would have realized that the FBI would be all over them if they went in. Natalia remembered Mercedes being smarter than that, maybe her brain was injured as well as her legs.

Natalia narrowed her eyes at her response, "When I think of weak, I usually think of people like you," she snapped back. Natalia breathed in and out before regaining her temper. It seemed as though it would be easier to push her over the edge right now that she was stressing out over the plan.

"You fear everything you come across, you always have," her voice wasn't as cruel and harsh as it had been previously. She sounded weary, like she hadn't slept in days. Maybe the last couple days had taken more of a toll on Natalia than she wold have liked to admit.

Natalia shook her head in amazement, "You don't think I take responsibility for what I've done, you may know my history Mercedes, but you do not know me," Natalia just shook her head at the implication of sleep. She didn't like sleeping, especially after a mission that people were killed.

"People who don't take responsibility don't know the names of every person who they have ever killed, or have died on their watch. They don't think about every single one before they sleep at night," it was the first time she had been truthful with Mercedes today. The girl was right though about her memories even if Natalia didn't want to admit it. The little cracks that she had gotten from killing Scott were spreading. If she kept on going she may break, "Trust me, I know my actions," her voice was low and calm, dangerous almost.

Natalia shook her head, "He is my only family, I will not betray him," Mercedes of all people should know that betraying someone you trust is not an option. Natalia was growing more distressed as Mercedes talked about Scott, "Well Scott isn't alive," she said loudly in a pained voice, "You say he wouldn't of let me do this, but didn't you hear him? He didn't want anything to do with me," she spat the words like poison. It didn't matter what she wanted, it only mattered what needed to be done.

"He won't betray me," Her voice was sure, he wouldn't, he couldn't. Natalia looked away from Mercedes as she continued to talk. The whole point of this was to get Mercedes to doubt herself, but now the roles were reversed. Natalia looked anywhere but directly at Mercedes, "It's over, it finished a long time ago."

"He won't, he wouldn't do that," Natalia didn't like how sincere she sounded. She really didn't want to believe any of it. "I've been here so long, he won't," her voice sounded small. Mercedes was just trying to get into her head. She couldn't let her do that, Cormac told her that Mercedes would try and get in her head, she shouldn't have come in here.

The last time that Natalia had cried was when Scott had betrayed her, this was the closest she had come since than. Her eyes shined but she didn't tear up, she wouldn't give Mercedes the satisfaction. "He knows what I can do, he trusts me," it sounded like she was more trying to convince herself than Mercedes. She closed her eyes as if that would help her block out the sound of her voice, "Shut up!" she said frantically, "he isn't like you, he doesn't run and leave people behind." Nat would not believe Mercedes, she just wanted to split her loyalty. "I don't care how regretful Scott was after it happened, it doesn't make up for the fact it was Cormac who was there for and you weren't," she put as much fire behind the word 'you' as she could muster, but Mercedes was right, she was exhausted.

"If it's not Cormac who harms me than it will be the FBI or someone else, I have a list of people who want to hurt me. What do you think the FBI would do if I got caught, grant me amnesty?" She laughed but there was no humor in her eyes, "It doesn't matter anymore, what's done is done." When Mercedes mentioned her being killed, Natalia tensed slightly. Natalia saw the truth in Mercedes's words though little good it would do now. She wondered what would have happened if she hadn't stayed with Cormac. It was the only thing she knew.

"There are people with a lot more reason than Cormac has," Natalia tried to ignore the fact that Mercedes was right. "Why would you do that?" Natalia asked, "After all that's happened, why?" Natalia felt as though Cedes was just trying to get her away from Cormac and the chip. She was way too far gone to be forgiven, especially by Mercedes.

Natalia was surprised at the answer, she expected it to be more for personal gain. "What would his gain be from betraying me though?" That was one thing Natalia did know, Cormac liked to do things that benefit him. That's why he was so adamant about keeping Sebastian when he went rouge, he was useful. Natalia knew he was unpredictable, but not a danger to her, right?

Natalia put her fingers to her temple, trying to make sense of what Mercedes was saying. She got up all of a sudden and opened the door, letting the guard on duty in, "Take Mercedes up to one of the spare bedrooms near mine," he gave her a questioning look, "Do it, and if Cormac finds out, we will have problems." The guard nodded at the threat and untied Mercedes, and helped her into the wheel chair. "Keep someone on her door at all times," Natalia met Cedes's gaze once more before walking out. She was going to tell Sebastian babysitting duty was over then going to bed.
