Stella landed at camp. She saw Garrett and ran up to him. "Where were you?"

Blayr felt like all the life was being zapped out of her. Again. And again. She could barely stay consicous, no, she couldn't, she was slipping away.

Colissa watched Blayr feint and realized this was the work of Dr. Obvious. She cursed his name. And Jesus's. And a lot of other people. He had promised her! They had made a bargain. This was unacceptable.

Blayr woke suddenly. Her eyes were red-rimmed. Colissa was sleeping on a rock, then Blayr realzized it was night. She checked her watch- 11:59. Then the clock struck 12:00. Blayr shook queitly and closed her eyes. When she opened them, they were the color of blood.

Blayr took a deep breath of the night air. The sweetness of it filled her with longing and before she could think she was flying towards an unknown scent. She felt much more powerful and strong. Suddenly she was upon it. The eraser was dead within minutes, sucked dry of blood. Blayr glanced at her bloody hands. What had she just done? What was happening to her?
