Keion took a step towards her and caught her as she passed out, surprised by how light she was. "Blayr... Blayr, please be okay..." he whispered, listening for a heartbeat. There was nothing.
For the first time in weeks, he was scared. Scared that Blayr would die, scared that it would be his fault, scared that he was even thinking these things.

Keion sighed in relief, then realized he should probably leave before Blayr woke up. "See you in the morning," he whispered and set her gently down on the ground. Then he took off, angry at himself. He pulled out his phone, knowing he should call someone and tell them about Blayr's resistance, but something kept him from dialing the number. He landed back where Eliana had been waiting. He sat down, ignoring her questioning looks.

Scarlett felt someone familiar nearby, and instintively looked up. She laughed a little at herself, but stopped dead when she recognized the bird like shape in the air.

Dr. Obvious shook Blayr hard, knowing Keion was watching. Blayr muttered and opened her eyes. She gasped, but Dr. Obvious had already drank something from a small vial that made her not want his blood. "You really shouldn't hold back. Or the hunger gets worse the next night," He sneered.

She knew who it was, and quickly wiped her eyes. She didn't want him to feel bad. And it was quite embarrassing.
