Mitch spun around and tried another door, but it was locked. An eraser hit him in the back- hard. He slammed against the door but managed to duck and avoid the next blow. He concentrated and the room was filled with mumbling erasers. He staggered away, knowing he couldn't hold the hypnotism up much longer.

Mitch pressed his bloody hand to his heart and cried. He knew that he was flying high enough that no one could see him, and he let it all out. For Scarlett. For Zoe. For some unknown brother he was flying off to save. For some unknown brother who was probably dead.


Blayr shuddered and fell to the ground twitching. Then she stood up so fast it was like it had never happened. Her eyes were blood red, and in the moonlight her teeth gleamed like razors.
