Book Concierge (tessabookconcierge) | 2457 comments QUESTION - Bonus Item # 9 Mason Jar

The characters are canning vegetables from the garden. There is mention of "jars" but not specifically "Mason" jars.

Would this count?

message 67: by Paris (new)

Paris (pah13) | 4285 comments Yeah BC I'll take that. Not likely they'd be using other kinds of jars really.

message 68: by Yusra (new)

Yusra Asaad (desert_rose) | 7 comments I have a question for you all..

Do you memorize the list or read it everyday.. I mean how do you know you don't pass by an item on the list while reading without noticing??

message 69: by ♦Ashley♦ (new)

♦Ashley♦ (ascherger12gmailcom) | 272 comments I usually skim over the list each time I sit down to read. I don't doubt that I've missed some along the way tho.

message 70: by VNerdbooks (new)

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5307 comments Haha DR they become imprinted on your eyeballs after a while.

The worst is when you jump up because you've spotted one, and you're all excited, and then realise it was one that you didn't get in the last challenge, and that finished about a week ago lol.

message 71: by ♦Ashley♦ (new)

♦Ashley♦ (ascherger12gmailcom) | 272 comments Hahaha V!! Guess what I just came across today?? Eggs Benedict ...thought of u ;)

message 72: by Paris (new)

Paris (pah13) | 4285 comments I will also do a search in the book after i read it if it's a Kindle book. If it was a physical book i try searching using the look inside option on Amazon.

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5307 comments Noooooooo !!! lol

message 74: by Cait S (new)

Cait S When it's the full list I leave it open in front of me while I read. Sometimes I will see a word and be like "was that on there or...?" So that helps. But at this point I have my final six words memorized to the point of getting a momentary jolt of excitement when I see them OTHER places lol

message 75: by ♦Ashley♦ (new)

♦Ashley♦ (ascherger12gmailcom) | 272 comments When it gets toward the final words I have them memorized to the point that I will be watching a tv show or movie and a word/picture will come up and I will get all excited until I realize tv/movies don't count lol!

YES! And I listen to audiobooks, so sometimes I'll hear a word and then I'm looking for a place to pull over so I can jot it down ...LOL

Marla | 1036 comments Cait and Ashley, I definitely do this too.

And V Audio Nerd, I don't mix them up because, by the end of the challenge, I am so sick of the words that I couldn't find in the last scavenger hunt. And of course, you find one when you don't need it anymore.

message 78: by VNerdbooks (new)

VNerdbooks (v_nerdbooks) | 5307 comments Haha I have all of my audio books on my phone, so I also have a post-it note app, and let me tell you that is FULL lol.

Ashley, yellow jacket would work for bee.

message 81: by Marla (new)

Marla | 1036 comments I still have not seen a tire swing from a challenge from last year, but I did just find a hot tub that I needed before...we never let it go...

The bad thing about the tire swing is we have 2 in our neighborhood and they would mock me when I drove by them everyday. :D

message 82: by Paris (last edited Nov 01, 2014 08:43PM) (new)

Paris (pah13) | 4285 comments hahaha I love it Marla. I have the same issues with words from past challenges. I've done all of them so far (I think) and last round was the first one I ever finished. There are a lot of items out there that mock me. I think the worst is from the first round and it's Capuchin monkey. Jennifer was not playing around when she picked that one. lol

message 83: by ♦Ashley♦ (new)

♦Ashley♦ (ascherger12gmailcom) | 272 comments lol!! good to know I'm not the only one that can't seem to find them all; )

message 84: by Marla (new)

Marla | 1036 comments I'm thrilled if I find enough with the Bonus points to equal the original list. I doubt I will ever finish the whole list within the time frame. And yet, I still play...glutton for punishment.
