This is such a sweet shoujo. Forget about the usual love-struck pathetic girl: Kujou simply hasn't got a clue (& that's funny!). I don't know how the storyline is going to develop but for the time being I'm enjoying watching Yanagi being caught in his own trap. If you're looking for a sweet, easy and funny story, take a look at "Last Game".

I just read this and, though I didn't love it, Kujou is an excellent character. It's been a while since I read a shoujo romance with such a bizarre setup when the heroine can look straight in the male lead's face and tell him to shove off so bluntly, especially so early in the book. She's not always assertive, and she's not always mousy, but her characterization never seems off.


I do feel like this leans on some out-of-character bad decision making on Yanagi's part as a plot device at the very end of the volume, though. He seems sensitive enough in the rest of it that I was a a bit surprised and really annoyed by what he did. It didn't ruin the whole thing for me, but I had a major, "You must be kidding!" moment.

I though the Last Game was a hilarious story. ^~^ For me, it was my first time reading a manga where the guy experiences chasing after the girl he loves. The story reminded me of a reverse of Maid Sama.
