If Magnus does die, I think that he'll come back to life. I think that for two reasons. A) Rick likes doing that, B) It's the first book in a trilogy called 'Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard', so he has to be involved in the other books.

That's Loki. He had a wolf son Fenrir. Plus loki is pretty sneaky and smart.

Norse mythology is often a LOT more bloody and violent compared to the already bloody and violent mythologies of the world, so Magnus dying wouldn't mean he'd never return to the world. Seeing Magnus on the cover, I originally thought maybe he'd be Thor's attractive rogue son because of his blonde locks, but now after reading the except, and, the fact that he has a cousin who's Athena's daughter, he's probably Loki's. Loki is a trickster God who is a master who illusions and trickery, (and women in the Marvel world… ;D) so that would make more sense with him being Annabeth's cousin and all. I'm SO excited, seeing Rick's take on the Norse gods, especially when there's the Marvel take on them already out, (I'm expecting there to be a whole lot of Chris Hemsworth/Tom Hiddleston references in this book) Rick, I'm sure you've done it again!

'Course I'm excited, some people seem to forget that this is Riodan we're discussing, if he's writing a new series, it's bound to be lovely and unforgettable. Plus, Norse mythology is one of the best kinds to go off of for this kind of series. Everyone's talking about the end of Summer and I'm sitting here like When's Magnus Chase coming out ;D?
