Delete Rating

Can you delete the one rating that has been posted for this book. It is unreleased, therefore has not been read by anyone yet in order to be rating. This bias shines a 3.00 rating and will impact my overall score before it is released. Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.

Disabling rating a book before its publication date. Goodreads policy allows members to rate books as soon as they are listed on the site. Many of our members receive ARCs (Advanced Reading Copies) from publishers, which means they tend to write reviews of books pre-publication. Other members like to use the rating system to indicate their level of interest or excitement in a book. As there is no one set way to use the rating system, we view this as a valid use of the site.

S.R., librarians have no ability to do anything about ratings or reviews (other than moving them from a duplicate edition when merging). If you believe that one is problematic, you'll need to use the Contact Us link on the Help page.

However, as Beth notes, just being from before the release date would not be a reason Support would remove a rating or review.

Since this is not a Librarians Group issue, I am closing the thread.
