10.5. Not All Bad!

Despite the problems of 2020, I did get a chance to read some new authors who I really enjoyed!

Read a book by a single author who you first read in 2020, before 11/15. The 2020 book may be a single author book, or from a book with multiple authors. You may have read as many books as you like by this author in 2020, but the book you use for this task must be new to you, not a re-read.

REQUIRED: In your post, link to the book in which you first read this author, and state the date read. Also state that the book you use for this task is not a re-read.

Question: Can our first reading of this author in 2020, before 11/15, be a short story, or would that first book also need to meet SRC criteria?

For example, I first read Rebecca Roanhorse on September 19, 2020 when I read her short story Welcome to Your Authentic Indian Experience. I would love to read more of her. If I read her new-to-me novel Black Sun, could I use it to fulfill this task?
