You're welcome! I often start with a Google search. It took a number of attempts with different keywords, but something like this worked:
Google search = site:amazon.com romance activist "put her in jail" lawyer
This led me to a discussion forum on Amazon which contained a post about your book:

Glad that helped. I like limiting the search to Amazon.com (or Goodreads.com) because reviewers' comments are filled with lots of useful keywords - often more helpful than the publisher's blurb. :)

I am trying to find a romance novel I read a couple of years ago. It was about an Irish-American activist heroine in Boston or DC who was sent to jail by the hero who is a lawyer and now some sort of politician and they hate each other, but soon fall in love. But because of their opposing political views they are constantly fighting. Then they elope and keep the marriage a secret. I also remember the heroine has many brothers and the second book in the series is based on one of her brother's love story. Also in the book the heroine has a son from a previous relationship. Another plot is about a young girl in the city who is forced to be a gang member and the heroine is trying to help her get out of that life. And the hero who is a politician and is not doing enough to help the underprivileged.I also remember the heroine's family own an Irish pub.
Yeah those are mostly the vague bits and pieces I remember. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
