I think we need a big tug-o-war challenge where we're on 2 big teams. Or maybe a chutes-and-ladders challenge. So many board games to go through.

Is a tug-o-war challenge a real challenge on a group around here somewhere? I'm curious to know what it entails! I've seen the Chutes & Ladders one.

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments ~Leslie~ wrote: "I was going to put in a request to be on the same team as all the members from team moonstone! It's time to be reunited!!"

Aha!

We understand that team challenges tend to get people to interact and get close. That's why, we usually try, when possible, to pay attention to requests.

However, one of the team challenges goals is to promote interaction and book talk. And, we need to diversify teams, to keep them balanced, and to give a chance to new members to feel welcome. And to know new friends too.

So, to answer to Sarah, it is as random as we can manage. And we would like to keep all people happy, but, putting a former team all together? I personally don't like the idea, sorry. Because some teams worked, some didn't. And some members from teams that worked want a chance to be on other teams.

So... we'll keep an eye on requests and do what we can, but no promises.

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ | 7238 comments I have to agree with Sonia. I've been on a few different teams and I've met some pretty nice team mates in each so I'm good with any team and finding new friends in them :)

I completely understand and know that a lot gets factored into selecting the teams, including the number of books we read.

I was just checking out the spreadsheet and see that I am recorded for 64 books in 2014, but it is supposed to be 54. I am not sure if this is a big deal or not, but I don't want the tallying to get messed up, so I wanted to let you know :)

The 'c' column on the spreadsheet is an estimate for the end of the year based on what you've read so far. The spreadsheet fills it in automatically using a formula. It's just to give us an idea, really.

Thanks for checking up on things! :D
