Question for authors

I'm self publishing a story on amazon and I'm unsure what to label it as. It is about 7700 words now I know that falls into the novelette group. I have seen authors label books with just 8000 words as novellas. So any advice? Short story, novelette, novella any advice would be great.

novelette, I'm betting the Kindle system will label it that on length in any case. They now have classification for reading length.

When you enter the file size and page count it estimates it. It's a very recent change, maybe in about the last 3-6 months.
