I was mostly ambivalent this week, probably because I don't really like cover prompts. I went with 5 upvotes, Mystery by POC, Ensemble cast, MC is an immigrant, debut novel by established author and non traditional family.

I'm hoping at least one of these makes it in.
Sophie wrote: "I'm quite indifferent regarding cover prompts, so I voted for anything but them 😉"Same!
I'm the opposite and really enjoy cover prompts. I think all of my up votes were cover prompts haha. The two that I downvoted were the Stephen King one (don't like lists and I don't really see anything that I'm interested in) and westerns (not my thing).

I was wondering why there were suddenly so many new comments on this thread, so I guess I'm also not paying much attention.
Sometimes 'not paying attention' is my defense mechanism against obsessing more than I want to, though...

This is just my 3rd time checking. Surely the moderator can't have anything more important to do than post the results!!! Those of who keep checking clearly don't.
It's coming. I'm in an all day work meeting & don't have the ability to take a few minutes to post the results, but I will try to multitask & have them for you soon.
I have an odd talent for wondering if today is the day for the results and clicking on the post, always finding I’m correct.
It's all good, Katie! Take your time! We understand you have a life outside of Goodreads, so don't stress out trying to get it done before you really have time to. I almost posted once or twice today asking if anyone knew when it was supposed to be posted, because I kept checking back, too. I'm just excited, but I like the anticipation, too. :)
Sometimes we all need to forego immediate gratification and learn to wait patiently--so you are really doing us a favor, Katie.

A Chance to Die: The Life and Legacy of Amy Carmichael
I'm reading it now and just ran across this sentence to describe the group of both women who worked together and children Amy adopted (as a single woman): "In this large family of over thirty, ranging in age from thirty-four years to a babe of nine months..."
