ABANDONED. YA novel where children of world leaders are held hostage and killed in case any country breaks into war to maintain world peace.

I read this book around two or three years ago, but I wasn’t able to finish it.

The children are raised on that farm-like place until they are 18 and are able to rule their own countries. While being held, they have to perform lots of manual labor and they also attend classes, both which are separated by age groups. A new character ended up being introduced, a teenager whose parents just recently became the leaders of their region, and he purposefully causes trouble (which leads to him being punished by the “robot” supervisors quite a bit) until the main character is able to talk some sense into him.

The main character ends up discovering that her country has a hostile relationship with the new boy’s country, meaning that it is likely that they will end up engaging in war and they will both be killed.
