And everyone lived happily ever after, except M Du Pont which is sad. He was a good guy. Actually I liked him better than Valancourt.

I know! I was waiting for a happy ending for him.

Jamie, I think we are the only two who finished. It seems that very long books lose audiences. But but after Emily's father died, the story started taking so many twists and turns that how could anyone stop reading? For me this was truly a page turner. I was on the middle of moving or I would have finished long ago. :-)

I agree! Some reviews I read said the ending didn't fit into the book but I thought it wrapped everything up nicely. Except M Du Pont.
