I was reading approximately 10 years ago, a book. And now I can't remember the title and author.
So in the book, there were about three women generations. Mostly about mother and daughter and a little bit about granddaughter. The story is happening in England. I will try to describe and remember the correct storyline in the book, The mother's story is about she is working as a nurse, she loves to paint. There was a moment in the book where she and her friend is standing in front of the shop and looking at a really beautiful dress ( I think blue). In some moment she meets a guy. She married a man and she gave birth to a son, who died really young if I am correct then from leukemia. Later she gave birth to a baby girl. I think there was the moment when there was happening war and she with her child and her friend was hiding in a bunker. Later she sends her daughter to painting school. And her daughter meets a girl who is rich, and they stay best friends and the daughter really loves to paint on clothes. Latter she has a company where they paint on clothes,. She had an affair with a guy who was (I think) married and he was a politician. She got pregnant from that guy and I think she lost the baby. Later she gots married and she also has a baby girl. In book, in one moment her mother has a birthday and she gave as a gift a key from home where she was living young. And in the end granddaughter is telling grandma that she doesn't want to work at her moms business, she wants to just paint.

Some other things:
- it is possible that in the affair guy gave girl opal in Christmas time
- it is possible that character names were Christina or Obri
- they guy from the first generation, who is married, had a big family. His younger sister was in the air force when there was happening war
- I think the war was the Second World War
- When they were hiding in the bunker there was a moment where Winston Churchill is mention

I hope someone can help me. I have been thinking about this book for more than half a year. And I have tried everything.

"Left to the indifferent care of an aunt after the death of her mother, well-bred Audra Kenton is sent to work at Yorkshire's Fever Hospital, where she trains as a nurse before taking a post in the home of an affluent suffragette. Though she captures the heart of a handsome bounder, Audra's independent spirit is not much appreciated by her working-class husband, and the two clash fiercely over her encouragement of their daughter's artistic genius. Audra's ceaseless efforts backfire, though, when Christina tries to repay the debt by choosing a lucrative career in fashion. With its trademark painted silk garments, the House of Christina is an instant success. But handing the flourishing business on to her only daughter proves harder than Christina expected, since Kyle, in her turn, rejects the world her mother has carved out to seek her own path as an artist. While written in a comparatively minor key, this is a light, pleasing tale of three generations , marked by ironic twists of fate and finely etched period detail." - Publishers Weekly
