I'm wondering too lol.
I once discuss a similar topic with my cyber friends, if a city had gender, would your city be a male or a female?
A friend said Rome had to be a male!
BTW, I think Melbourne would be a female, Sydney too.

Carrie Lol, I think Rome is a woman! All that talk about love and food!? Oh, and wine too! Definitely a woman.

Connie Barretta I love Paris but Cortona, Italy would be my city's word.

Sandy Connie wrote: "I love Paris but Cortona, Italy would be my city's word."

Thanks Connie, do you love Italy the best? Then please use a word that best describes/suits Italy. :)

Connie Barretta Amare

Sandy Connie wrote: "Amare"

Coool :)

Linette I live in a small mid-western town close to Chicago. Its word would be...eclectic, and it is definitely female. I lived just south of Atlanta for over 20 years, though, and Atlanta's word would have to be cosmopolitan. Also, Atlanta is male, without a doubt.

I'm not a sports fan, but everyone else seems to be. I feel totally lost in the overwhelmingly tacky orange and blue that seems to cover everything and everyone. To quote the author, "if your personal word does not match the word of the city, then you don't really belong there."

Liz Luna wrote: "Washington D.C. - maybe change? I'm not too sure"

Hey Luna. I'm also from DC and I know what you mean. But I would call it "optimism" because no one goes to DC jaded - everyone goes there for some cause or to support some ideal, be it political, international, social, whatever. I doubt outsiders would see it that way though.
