She seems to like him but also doesn’t seem like she can be someone who is needed by other people. I’m super curious about the Chandrian tho I don’t think we’ll get many answers yet. Things are pretty rough for Kvothe! I was surprised when he turned down Seth’s offer to go work on his farm. Seems like he now regrets that, but too late. I hope he finds someone in the town to help him, because it seems like he’s not doing too well on his own.

Kvothe is pretty irritating. He thinks he’s all that. And I don’t think it was very smart to make Hemme so mad. He could have given a demonstration that didn’t burn anyone’s foot!

I didn’t quite follow why Hemme’s foot got burned more than it should have based on Kvothe’s binding. Did Hemme exaggerate the damage? Or did Kvothe do something he didn’t tell the masters? Or does he genuinely not understand what happened?

I am glad Kvothe is doing all right financially now. But he is still pretty annoying! I'm also surprised he is still banned from the Archives. I expected him to come up with something clever to say to get himself back in. But he seems to have taken it without even a fight.

It seems Kvothe’s financial stability was short lived! His life would be a lot better right now if he hadn’t antagonized Ambrose, and if he would stop going into massive debt for things he doesn’t actually need. He’s so short sighted. And I can’t believe he tries so hard to hunt the Chandrian down. It sounds like that’s a really good way to end up dead in this world. Not to mention, he offered to sneak Devi into the Archives?! This cannot possibly end well for him.

So Kvothe just knew the name of the wind somehow? Apparently this is common, but it doesn't make any sense. Where would he have learned it? It's a lot less satisfying than the sympathy, where he spent so much time studying and practicing with Ben first.
